This was one of the worst trips of our lives but the staff at the Fairfield Inn in Gladstone bent over backward to help us. Let me explain. We were in KC for a wedding reception and I got very sick with Covid and was hospitalized. At the same time my husband got a call for an in-person job interview in St. Louis. Long story short, we changed our plans several times and the staff, especially the front desk, were incredibly helpful but also so concerned and nice. They made a really bad situation for us so much better than it could have been. We will stay there on our next trip to KC for sure!!!

I’m guessing that since we booked with a third party we got the worst room on the property. If they after you room 225 tell them you want another room. This room shares a wall with the gym and we were woken at 10:30 pm with pounding of weights and again at 5:30am. There was mold/mildew at the bottom of the shower door.

The property is fairly new, which is nice. Parking was easy. There’s a great Vietnamese restaurant nearby. Staff was friendly. There’s was a rotten egg odor coming from shower drain. Either the drain grate needed to be cleaned or sewer gasses were coming up.
