I'm reading the overall experience. The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff was perfect. The restaurant was AMAZING.. while we didn't have dinner there, e sat at the bar for dessert and drinks. The drinks were s good s and ever had and the staff was friendlier the anywhere we've ever stayed. ***HERE’S THE REAL TEST!!! My wife and I were in town for the Chiefs/Ravens game. We arrived Friday for a 3 night stay. Friday late-morning my wife's mother had an accident and was being admitted to the hospital. Without question, the hotel only charged us for our 1 night stay, no fees or penalties for having to cancel late and leave early. They made the experience (which was already stressful) pleasant and easy. I would recommend this Hotel based on that alone. BEST PLACE WE'VE EVER STAYED.

Unique property. Oldest operating hotel and restaurant west of Mississippi. Free parking. Very limited amenities. Restaurant one of the best in Kansas City. Historically a favorite of Harry Truman. We had a fabulous experience. Staff excellent! Very boutique experience. We will stay here again.

Rooms are decently spacious. Entire facility was quiet. Only issue is I was charged for valet parking that I never requested/used. Will more than likely stay again.

The hotel was not business friendly. There was no place for our team to set-up and do work on our laptops. A coffee shop that opened early would have been great. We ended up going to the Marriott to use their amenities. However, that's just a comment on the amenities available. The room and staff were great! Same goes for the bar downstairs.

My husband and I stayed there the night after we got married before we headed out on our honeymoon. We were excited to stay there on our wedding night as we had taken a staycation there early on in our relationship. During our staycation we mentioned that it was our anniversary and they wrote us a nice note and gave us some drink coupons for the savoy. I mentioned when booking that we would be staying there for our wedding night and there was no acknowledgment whatsoever. The hotel used to be 21c museum hotel which had galleries of art and was very alive. We were disappointed with many things. At check in and check out no one was at the desk. We waited there for a while until I said excuse me is anyone there? A staff member came out from behind a wall and hastily gave us a key. When we returned our keys it was much of the same. The hotel is no longer warm and welcoming. I don’t know if it’s just the recent transition or what, but we had an excellent experience before and not so much this time. Not sure that we will want to book again.

The location was good and we were able to park close by for free. What set this place apart was how incredibly comfortable the room was! The beds, the toiletries were really nice, and the robes were amazing! I felt like I was at a spa. Would have loved to stay another day!

This is an old hotel with some history that has been rennovated and now owned by Hilton. The best thing about the hotel is the restaurant and restaurant staff. We ate dinner and breakfast there and hate nightcaps at the bar. Food and service were wonderful. As far as the hotel and our room, it was nice and clean, but there was a half empty bottle of water in the room (guests get 2 bottles of water complimentary). So we had 1 unopened bottle and 1 that had been opened before we arrived. THe lobby area was stark and not very welcoming. It had the look of possibly still under rennovation. I would stay there again, but would not be my first choice.
