We really liked the house and where it was located. But the water pressure in the shower wasn't great and their ils mdilew on the tile in the shower. And there is a strange smell in the house probably from it being closed up. But everything was provided and we really appreciated that.
In town to assist moving my daughter, son in law and grandson back to Virginia The house was just Awesome, and so conveniently located not only close to my daughter home but Walkable to coffee shops, shopping and local restaurants
The location really can't be beat, just a block from the shops and restaurants on 39th St. Yet somehow it was extremely quiet. The cottage itself is nicely appointed and attractively decorated. The bed was comfortable enough, but all pillows are firm, so if that's not your jam, bring your own. The kitchen is very spacious, although I can't attest to how well it is stocked, as we didn't use it to cook (our daughter lives 2 blocks away). Management provided coffee grinds and sugar/creamer but not much else. Many other rental properties I've stayed in offer bottled water and a selection of snacks, fruit, breakfast bars, etc. (one even had eggs straight from their hen, lol). You won't find that here, but there's a Sun Fresh grocery not far away. Management was responsive when we had a question about the thermostat, but was otherwise hands off. I guess my only slight "complaint," if there is one, is that the grout in the shower needs to be scrubbed clean...but the water pressure is good and I truly appreciate that they installed shower doors instead of a shower curtain. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to hang our hats for a long weekend. Next time we come to KC to visit our daughter, I'm certain we will rent it again.
The pictures were exactly what was described. It was in a great location and easy to find. The only thing was I messaged the host twice and never got a response but overall super pleased and would stay again.
We booked this location because of its proximity to KU med and it was the perfect place to stay while my mom had surgery. Every detail and need was attended to and we appreciated being able to walk to a number of restaurants. My sister has a service dog and it was a great to have a fenced in back yard and a really nice neighborhood for walking. We will stay here again for follow up treatment at the hospital. .
We enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood was quaint and quiet. We enjoyed all the local establishments just down the block. The house was clean and inviting
The place and location was awesome. I really loved it. The only issue we had was the batheroom door would not lock. Oother than that it was awsome. I will definitely be staying there again as i travel back and forth to Kansas City.
The house was very welcoming, we felt at home the minute we walked in. The kitchen was well stocked, loved all the spices and very nice appliances The house was very clean. We enjoyed sitting in the backyard one evening. The location was great, easy access to everything. We will definitely stay here again!
This home was a great spot for my husband and I to enjoy our first trip to KC. We stayed 3 nights.
The neighborhood provided a variety of restaurants within walking distance. The off-street parking at the house was a great asset. We used Uber and Lyft to get around mostly. (Words of warning - getting a service to take us home from Kauffman Stadium was difficult.)
There was plenty of space for us to unwind and cool down after a hot day of touring. We had everything we needed to make breakfast each day. The managing company was easy to communicate with and answered questions quickly!
The reasons I canât give this place a full 5 stars are personal in nature.
If you arenât used to urban neighborhoods and a few homeless folks in your path, you may not feel comfortable walking around.
My husband and I have some mobility issues and the bathroom was a bit difficult to maneuver. The mattresses were on slated wooden frames and didnât provide the support we are accustomed to. The television streaming service did not offer a full variety of programming.
The pictures and listing of the home were very accurate and the home will be great for many, but I wanted to share these details with those who may have the same needs as we do.
That being said, if you like the privacy of a personal residence during your vacations, the home would be a good place to stay while visiting KC.
