Author's Guesthouse was at a great location for us! We enjoyed the privacy of our room, it was clean, and the perfect distance away from the hustle and bustle of Duval street. It was on a busier street but with the plants\trees\fence traffic did not bother us. I liked the gates locked at night (even though I never felt unsafe on the Island). The heated pool was down for service for a day and night and we weren't offered anything to compensate for that( it was an important feature for me bc of the cooler weather at the time). However, it was up and running again the next day when they said it would be. Would stay here again!

Fantastic place to stay. Very clean and cozy. The grounds were small but very nicely appointed. The staff was very courteous and friendly. I will stay here again without a doubt and would recommend the Authors of Key West Guest House to anyone who is looking for a clean, friendly and accommodating place to stay that is a short(10 min.) walk to Duval St.
