The property was well located to the main train station. It was walkable but there was also a local train station outside the hotel that was accessible by lift. The breakfast was outstanding and really good value. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Convenient for subway or walk to Kyoto station plus buses to Gion area. Free welcome drink each evening at 6pm. Very friendly & helpful staff. Some good restaurants and a cafe across the road.

Well situated near bus/subway stops. Buffet breakfast was very good. Rooms small but typical for Japan. Lounge area was good. Would stay there again.

A short distance from Kyoto station; the calmer side of the city. Good bus service to the numerous temples, just around the corner. The Sakura serves a very good breakfast, complimentary coffee and cocktails after 6.00pm. Very friendly and helpful staff; that can also advice you with maps of the many attractions. We had the corner window on the 9th floor with a lovely view.

Honestly everything about this property is nice, except one thing. There is no internet! Wish i would have paid attention to that. Its just too hard to visit a place and not be able to look anything up from your hotel. Based on the routers everywhere they tried to improve it but we had almost nothing our entire stay. Only worked in the loby

It's a very nice hotel with a decent size room compared to other Japanese hotel. Room is spacious. They provided free alcohol drinks and non alcohol beverages at a specific time. The hotel is walkable to Kyoto Station, about 7 to 10 minutes walk.

Big disappointment! There was no option for room with breakfast on Expedia. It stated that the breakfast is available for additional fee. I was told (by not very polite check in agent, with his poor English) that we can not buy breakfast, it's sold out! Never heard of it. The same for the next day. He didn't care where we will eat in the morning. This is wrong message. Some areas of the hotel are obviously rundown. The view from balcony was building literally next to it with noisy AC. The same fronf desk guy always has some issue since check in, looking for kind of confrontation with his poor English. There is room-smoking area basically attached to the lobby and breakfast area. People don't close the door sometimes and the cigarette smoke is all around. Terrible! Positive: welcome drink and live entertainment, hotel is right at the metro station. Wouldn't stay here again as they do not appreciate their guests.

Located right next to the train station which is super convenient. Daily welcome drink was also a great bonus Didn't get a chance to check out the onsen though
