We enjoyed the brief visit to the silos. The unit was very well decorated, and the grounds were very quaint. We stayed here for the overnight stay during the MS150 charity bike ride.
We really enjoyed our stay during the spring antiques week. It was nice to get away from the main area and relax.
Will share w friends and look forward to another stay, we loved it!
Iâve stayed here before and I like it. I prefer a place that has a small kitchen usually because I come for several days but this place is convenient. My only complaint is the heater didnât heat the place well enough. I woke up freezing and I could see my breath!!! I was there on one of those really cold days but still??? Iâm sure Iâll stay there again though
My friend and I so enjoyed our stay at the Silo. We felt safe, comfortable and enjoyed the decor! The zhen hen silo was the perfect place to rest our heads after a long day in Round Top! Ty!
A beautiful, peaceful property surrounds unique cottages fashioned from vintage silos for guests' enjoyment. Cozy and charming, a day bed sleeps one person, and a queen can accommodate two more. Only a curtain separates the spaces and the bathroom has a sliding antique door, so make sure you are close friends or family to enjoy the closeness. Only a short drive to Round Top and the Antique Show, we were happy to escape back to the country after the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Chickens and cows greeted us and the owner of the property delivered handcrafted coffee mugs with the Laughing Hens logo as parting favors. All in all, a delightful experience for my daughter and me.
The laughing Hen Silos are a fun place to stay. Very unique accommodations and very easy to access. We shopped the Round Top show had dinner and easily made our way to the Silos. Would recommend.
This place is AMAZING! The silos are so neatly decorated and relaxing. It was the perfect location for anything we wanted to do. Our host had great recommendations of places to eat and things to do. Blue willow cafe in Burton for breakfast is a must, Texas Cotton Gun museum was neat, Busted Oak Winery is so fun, dinner at Luluâs was perfect. Duo breakfast buffet at Market hill was a great way to end our stay. We spent most of our time in round top and it was only a 15-20 min drive from the silos. I recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick relaxing getaway. It was only 2 hours from the east side of Houston. We canât wait to come back and stay!
The place is cute but if you are looking for a hotel or house feel, this is not it. This is for the more glamping stay. This is for when the big antique fair is there but other than that I would not recommend this area. There was no microwave or t.v.. The town is basically a ghost town. We were told by locals to get a pizza for the refrigerator because places to eat is shut down on Sunday and Mondayâs. We ended up in Austin to eat. First night, we were killing spiders, second huge black mosquitoes in shower in morning in the night yellow jackets, third, cockroach. The rules in the room basically told guest to not walk around property. Off limits. When there is no place to warm your food or watch t.v. at night because the town and surrounding towns are closed down. Makes it a sad stay. Lovely concept but needs improvements or at least a heads up. We believe itâs not worth the money.
Very artistic space with most every need in mind. Arrived late and lights were already on for us. Thanks for making our 30th wedding anniversary so special!
This such a cute charming little place to stay.
We went to La Grange for a wedding and I found this
charming little place to stay it was perfect about 3 miles out of town, I hope to go back one day.
overall we Loved it, we had to leave a day early, wish we could of got a partial refund, but it was clear upfront there is no refund . Just hard on the pocket book, But was one of the nicest , coolest places we have ever stayed at, and loving my coffee mug gift, using it now
This place was great--super clean, warm and inviting. The check-in process was so easy--the owner texted us the info and checked on us a couple of times. It was away from the crowds of the antique fair, but close enough to get to it all easily. We enjoyed the stay.
