Columbus Day weekend getaway

Our stay for the most part was enjoyable. The room although somewhat dated was clean and the bed very comfortable. My wife and I have mobility issues so we requested a room on the ground level and a king size bed. Though our request was granted you couldn't turn off the TV or adjust the volume using the remote control. And, though we didn't need many services it would have been nice had they come in and made the bed and given us an exchange of fresh towels which we had to ask for. In addition on our first night we had some less than desirable neighbors that felt the need to slam doors and run back and forth in front of our room until around 2am preventing us from getting much sleep. We were pleasantly surprised to find that they were thankfully only there for the night. All in all not a horrible experience and we would stay here again as we have in the past. Definitely worth the money if you're looking for a decent place to stay if you're trying to stay within a budget.

Stayed on a busy holiday weekend with limited availability. The bathroom window was broken and would not lock so we didn’t sleep well thinking someone might break in, and the plumbing was bad and the toilet clogged after one use. The manager doesn’t stay on the ground, so it would take an hour for a plumber to fix it. We left right away. The tv / WiFi in room also didn’t work. On the bright side, the heat works.

Room was not extravagant, however, simple and clean, as expected for this rate. Staff was friendly and responsive to any questions and service requests. Pool was clean and clear. Towels, however showed wear, make up stains, thread bare on the first sets we had. A request for more showed thick, newer towels. For a simple get away, this worked well. Close to downtown was a perk for sure!

No microwave in room. There is a Microwave in a shared area but is not maintained (disgusting smell, spilled food,etc ). The room has a window ac which was not on when we arrived therefore the room smelled moldy. In addition there is too much dust in windows, behind the furniture. There was only one small soap bar/mini shampoo for 3 people. I asked the manager and was given another mini shampoo. Toilet seat was too small for the toilet. I feel the room condition should have been in better shape for the high price paid $152/night
