Log Cabin on the Hudson

Enjoy the serenity and relaxation offered at this beautiful Hudson River location. "The River House," as we refer to it, is a beautiful log cabin surrounded by mountain views, river views, and wood views. Take a seat on the front lawn and enjoy the tranquility of the river.

The River House's location is central to many area attractions, such as Lake George, Six Flags, Gore Mountain, and Saratoga Race Track.

The owners are located nearby for any questions or assistance you may need. A pack and play is available.

There are three external surveillance cameras located on the property. Two are located on the corner of the cabin pointing towards the garage. One is outside on the side of the house facing the propane tank fill station. The cameras are disarmed when the house is occupied.

We had a really relaxing stay here! The best part was definitely the beautiful river view — especially from the second floor through the large window. It was so peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding. The space itself is very spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the natural surroundings.A few things to note for future guests: the property does feel like it could use a bit more regular maintenance. There were no basic bathroom supplies provided (like shampoo, body wash, or a hair dryer), so be sure to bring your own. The kitchen is functional but limited — not a lot of cooking tools or utensils, so if you're planning to cook often, it’s a good idea to bring your own essentials.Overall, it’s a great spot for a quiet, scenic getaway.

The property location is wonderful. It is quiet and relaxing and we'd like to return someday but there are a few things that need to be addressed. The house needs work. Fixtures are falling off the walls in the bathrooms or are missing. The cieling fan in the upstairs bedroom does not work and, although there was a box fan, it was not as effective. We were locked out of the house once and had to wait to get back in due to a finnicky lock on the entrance door. There are elecvtrical switches in some of the bathroms that do not work or are just confusing to figure out. All that said, we did have a lovely time and enjoyed the area. Thanks for "listening". We hope to come again.

Beautiful log cabin in a very peaceful setting on the Hudson River. We spent most of the time on the large deck in the front of the cabin with a river view. Lots of swimming and fishing steps away. Easy drive to Lake George. Great communication with host. Highly recommend!

Peaceful place to stay!

This property was truly perfect for my best friends bachelorette weekend. We are in our 30s with kids and our main goal was to RELAX all weekend. The part of the river across the road is a wonderful place to explore, take pictures and cool off if it's hot. We loved sitting outside on the deck, by the fire pit and even swang on the swings like little kids again. Having wood already chopped and ready was such a blessing as a group of women. We went to Lake George near by to check out Dj's Nite Club (great place) and when we got back, we had accidentally locked ourselves out. Since service is patchy, it took a little time to get ahold of our host but she came to our rescue at 3am! She was so sweet and helpful, we really appreciated it! Overall, the house was clean and comfortable. The bed in the bear room is AMAZING with the topper on it and there's so much room to just be together. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. Being in its own room was a really cool touch. We personally had no issues with the internet as we only used it on our phones as it is a fairly dead zone for cell service (which we didn't mind at all). Thank you Alyssa for easing our minds when we got paranoid being in the woods, all alone, just us women and coming to our rescue in the middle of the night. You're the best!

Guys weekend

We loved our stay at this place. The location is great and it’s a short drive to lake George. Great fire pit and lots of room. The deck overlooks the Hudson River which is great for fishing. The host was awesome. She got back to me very quickly on a lot of questions that I asked. I would definitely stay here again.

Cabin in the woods

Our family absolutely loved our stay! The house is so beautiful! The kids loved the playground. We all loved making s’mores at the fire pit. The house was big enough to comfortably accommodate our family of 9. The house is in a private wooded area with the river across the road. You can not see the neighbors once you are on the property. It was only 20 minutes away from downtown Lake George. We are definitely planning on staying at this house again next time we go on vacation.

Xmas Trip

Everything was so pleasant and cozy in the mountains! Loved the hot tub and proximity of activities to do. However, it would have been great if both bathrooms had shampoo/conditioner/body wash to use just in case. Other than that, the stay was wonderful!

Great Stay on the Hudson

The property was perfect for our trip (two families with three kids). Very clean and the only issue we had was no cell service and spotty internet which given the location is to be expected. Great view of the Hudson river and a perfect location for our trip (we went to both Gore Mountain and Lake George).
