Hotel was clean; breakfast had nice selection. Bathroom could have used updates. Pool was closed, we were not able to use. Communication via texts was appreciated.

My experience at the Country Inn and Suites in Lansing needs to be put on blast.Had to go to the bathroom after my travels, toilet paper floating in toilet I flushed, I go to the bathroom.. toilet will not flush. I take the lid off the toilet, mess with the mechanism and get it to flush. This had to be done each time I had to flush. TV damaged and screen is pointing downward so I have to use my coat and a Kleenex box to prop it up. There was some sort of disgusting ICK in the bedskirt, woke up to a spider in the ceiling above my head,no regular coffee in my room, had to get dressed to go get a cup of coffee. Took a shower, needed to blow dry my hair,dryer doesn’t work. Get dressed, head to the front desk, she tells me she has to get one from the 3rd floor. She shows up at my door and hands me a box with a new blow dryer. She doesn’t take it out and dispose of the box, just hands it to me like “Here’s that dryer you asked for”. But folks, here is the worst. I, a woman, was traveling alone. I left for a while. I was probably gone 3-4 hours. I intentionally left my DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. I didn’t want anyone in my room, I didn't need towels, I didn’t need the bed made. I approach my door, it is propped open with the arm of the lock,I enter slowly, say Hello, no response. Search the room, bed made,trash gone. Go to front desk, employee goes to my room. He says “housekeeping must have left it open”!I was pissed.I could have been cleaned out,$ taken or worse! Do better!

I had mostly an average stay. The bed was comfy and the amenities were as expected. My overall complaint was with the WiFi - it could be sluggish on my tablet while neither my personal nor work computer would connect. I used my phone as a hotspot for most of the stay.

The place was wonderful for the price! I was pleasantly surprised. The Staff were nice and helpful. I will make this a place to stay while visiting Lansing.
