WiFi is free in public spaces. There's an onsite business center. The Whitlock also features a terrace, a garden, and coffee/tea in a common area. Self parking is free.
The room was fine. A/C worked very well first night, but second night it was a sauna (didnât change anything on controls). Check your credit card charges. I paid through Expedia and was recharged and then had additional charges on my card. Hotel was walking distance to all bars and restaurants. Carpet could use a refresh. All staff were very nice.
Actually we did not stay at the Whitlock, but at a sister hotel, as there were problems at the Whitlock. We stayed at The CONSTANCE. The hotel is lovely, the staff wonderful, particularly Laura, some Colombian mena and women, and Jeff. It is a beautifully maintained conservation building, and the athmosphere is charming
Whitlock is great for its location. Unfortunately, on a Sunday, the bar and dining was closed. No cable TV for live airing. Room was clean. Staff ver friendly.
Charming setting and building. Strangely empty bar often with no staff available, and fire pit was lit some days/times and not others. No real cream for coffee, just Coffee Mate, in the morning. Continental breakfast is at the Constance but there is room in bar at Whitlock for pastries at least. We were happy with the room itself.
We enjoyed our stay at The Whitlock. The hotel is very charming with a gorgeous patio which we enjoyed during the day and in the evening. Our room was beautiful and very tastefully decorated. They have clearly listened to customer feedback and addressed various issues that people have brought up in past reviews (there's a place to store toiletries in the bathroom above the sink, a place to hang clothes, and in-room temperature control). The bed and pillows were comfortable. Everything was very clean. The shower was a good size. Customer service was great. Check-in was easy. The walls are thin so you may want ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. There's also no breakfast, although they do serve coffee and tea in the morning. They used to have a restaurant on-site, but unfortunately, it's no longer operational, although it sounds like this is temporary and there are other places to eat within walking distance (there is also a proper bar on-site where they mix drinks). The location was perfect. A block away from the main strip. It was very safe walking around with no major roads to cross to get to the restaurants and cafes. Parking was free and easy to access. Overall, a great stay.
Excellent location in the heart of Lenox. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Quick drive to Tanglewood. Room was comfortable and quiet. Decor slightly tired. Overall a good option for a weekend stay.
I was very disappointed at my stay at the Whitlock. First off you have to check in at a sister hotel down the street. No one was there when we arrived we had to wait 20 minutes just for someone to check us in. With the shower door shut the water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor. No matter how we adjusted the thermostat the room was freezing. The room was not thoroughly cleaned because I found about 6 dead bugs on the floor just under the bed. We only saw one young woman working there the whole weekend (she was lovely) but most of the time there was no one there it felt like the hotel was running itself. For the amount of money this is a bad experience. The only positive is the location.
