Old Florida Style, wrap around porch, boat basin for dockage, open water
You will love spending time at this lovely home located on Little Torch Key, with Sunrise view, large property with boat basin for easy access to the Gulf or Atlantic. Located on Pine Channel, this home has 3 bedroom, 2 bath, with an open living area and kitchen. It has a large porch overlooking the water to enjoy your morning coffee, or an afternoon read. Located at mile marker 28, just a short ride to Key West (about 30-34 min) or to Marathon about 20 minutes.
This property is a gem! Better than the pictures. Well equipped kitchen. Although, with Kiki's down the street and Rooster's just South on US1 there is no need for cooking, just snack foods and drinks. The place is much bigger than the pictures depict. Quiet neighborhood. Breath taking views. Easy check in/out. Easy communication with host. We will definitely come back.
Convenient location, great property. Seems to be they are renovating little at a time. The place is aged but was clean and worked great for what we needed. Would happily stay here again! Was great for kids and location was great! Thank you
We book houses in the keys two or three times per year. This house was a pleasant surprise. The property, yard and water access was amazing. The house itâs self was much larger than the typical manufactured homes.
Host was very good with communication. Had a AC issue but that was quickly fixed. House was clean. Close to Key West and Marathon. Nice big yard. Perfect get away from the snow.
The host was nice and answered questions. The property has a nice location on a big lot with a water view. The boat dock area was very old looking and kind of messy. Yard was again big but also messy with no landscaping.Huge (gravel) driveway.Porch was big, had an old dirty broken lounge chair.Porch at the bedroom had no furniture a broken slider door.Inside had a big living room and was nice. Kitchen was ok but oven was dirty with burnt foil and grit on the bottom.Bedrooms were ok we only used one.Bathrooms ok but showers are small and one was not working properly. The Air conditioner situation. Very strange it has 6 different mini split units. Remote controls all over the place. Some worked while others did not. Not sure how it would be in hot weather. Many wall and other remotes for fans did not work. One TV was in a closet propped up by 2x4s and was not plugged in.Overall, the place is ok but definitely rough around the edges. If we were picky would definitely not have enjoyed the place.
The house was everything it claimed to be. They don't allow cats, but said they allow dogs. The only suggestion I would make is that they could invest in a better coffee maker. Next door to the property is a boat dock and rental business- so at times it can get a little loud. But other than that, the property was very nice, and I would recommend it.
Amazing little spot. We had an octopus show up two nights of the three we were there. I can not wait to stay again. This was PERFECT on every way. I celebrated my 40th
Positive: large house, dock area on the water, good Keys location, functional. Negative: garbage around the property, not nearly as clean inside as should have been, old stained couches, the most minimal extra consumables possible. For what we paid, it was quite disappointing. Total lack of cohesive look & feel.
This property is fantastic and we highly recommend. Whether bringing your own boat, or renting one from next door from Dawn at Lower Keys Boat Rental - this is the perfect place to stay if you are planning to spend time on the water. There are pros and cons with every rental, so I have listed ours below:PROS:- Great location! You can find groceries and great food options very easily. This is a great spot to be secluded yet not too far off the beaten path. - Basin for Boating! The basin is wide enough and deep enough dock your boat regardless of winds or waters. - Easy Load-in to House! The house has a beautiful porch and just a few stairs to load your belongings into the house without having to lug them up a full story flight of stairs. - Pet Friendly! Our little guys loved staying at this property and it had plenty of yard for them to play and poop in. - Kitchen utensils are plentiful! Whether you are frying, boiling or steaming - you will have what you need here.CONS:- Lack of cleaning supplies and necessities: Be prepared to provide your own spray cleaning supplies as well as extra TP and papertowels. The provided cleaning supplies are lacking. - Boating to the Gulf: Unless you know the waters very well, getting to the Gulf from this location requires you to go out and around to one of the deeper channels to reach the Gulf. It is possible to get there from this location but unless you are confident in your path and the tides are right - don't chance it.
Fantastic location with a great view. House was clean and comfortable. Check in and check out couldn't have been easier. I didn't bring a boat down, but this would be ideal for someone with a small boat.
Prime location on water right down the street from Kikiâs restaurant. Close proximity to grocery and other shopping. Negative about property was that you couldnât turn the air down past 75 degrees and didnât disclose this information until a few days before check-in. Property had nice big bathrooms and was dog friendly which was great. Would stay again in cooler months.
There is mold in the house I understand it is an older house but my wife gets very sick when she smells mold there was a dead cockroach in both bathrooms sink holes that were not marked by the sea wall I figured there would of been a hose outside to rinse my boat and trailer off there was not besides that it was decent I really enjoyed our time there Iâm not saying that stuff to be a pain in the butt was just a couple things I noticed to possibly prevent a future problem
