Disappointing
Publié le 11 déc. 2023 sur HotelsSecond time for us to stay here. This time was disappointing as no one there to welcome us on arrival. Choice at breakfast also disappointing to anyone not wanting a cooked breakfast.
Would not be going back.

Nice but a couple frustrations
Publié le 13 juill. 2023 sur HotelsWe felt like we were on an English estate 😊. The bed was comfortable, room was spacious and nicely decorated. I was frustrated with 1) horrible lighting in the bedroom and bathroom and 2) the bathroom faucets (common in UK to have sink hot and cold separate) so close to the porcelain that you had to touch the sink to do anything. Owner is very friendly

Hello,Many thanks for your kind comments, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave your thoughts.My sincere apologies that you found the lighting to be poor in the bedroom and bathroom, we have taken on board your comments and have since replaced the bulbs which has given much more light to the room.I understand the taps aren't to everyone's taste however, the taps we have represent the style of house that Mere Brook is so it's important for us to keep as traditional as we can.We're glad you enjoyed your stay and I hope we can welcome you back to Mere Brook House again soon.Warmest regards,

Perfect location in countryside but within 10 mins of train station and 25 mins from Liverpool

Lovely house in the countryside with decoration to match.
Lots of choice for breakfast, and it was all tasty.
Staff were friendly and helpful

Alternative Business Stay
Publié le 21 avr. 2023 sur HotelsLovely quiet location and old gentile building. The gardens are lovely and breakfast was very good. Only downside for me and l did not check on booking, is there is no restaurant or bar area. For visitors who are travelling no issue buy as a business person meant food in my room. For a little while l was the only person in the property which made me feel like king of the castle, but l did check all the doors to ensure they were looked !
