Lovely hotel with an antique feel, however the facilities are clearly aging. Great restaurant and breakfast. WiFi craws and will log you off even after a short pause. Quaint surroundings and the view of Blackheath common is great. Small parking lot that can fill up. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Check in was fine and we went out straight after. When we got back to our room that night we noticed that the toilet door only opened a little way then it hit the toilet seat, The room was ok but mattress very lumpy. I requested a quiet room but this one was noisy and the back car park was right by our window. We both slept very badly, so much noise. Breakfast was good but the chef who came out to replenish the food was very rude to my husband and told him he had broken the top of an egg with the serving spatula . Very disappointing visit

The staff were great parking and breakfast included Parking spaces were tight but we got space on a busy Saturday Breakfast was superb as were the staff The room was dated and we experienced noisy neighbours but still a great place to stay in London we will be coming back

We really like the Clarendon and have stayed there several times. It’s comfortable but not luxurious, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent. We enjoyed their cream tea too, this time, instead of having lunch, and didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day!

This is an excellent place to stay in Blackheath. It's a short walk from the train station, and close to everything I was looking for. Although an older building, it's well-maintained, clean, and nicely renovated. The hot breakfast is very good. Really enjoyed the variety. Staff members (including breakfast servers) are courteous and friendly. I plan to stay there again during my next swing through Blackheath!

The hotel was lovely and the staff were fantastic. The only thing that spoiled our weekend was when we went for a drink in the hotel bar. We were the only people there and it was soon obvious why when we bought our drinks. A large whisky and coke and pint of Guinness £19.90. When I questioned it i was told London prices.

Lovely big, comfortable room (Crown Double). Very quiet, and very comfortable bed. Room cleaned and bed made every day. Excellent breakfast, with great service and friendly staff. Excellent location with good bus service directly outside and mainline station 2 mins walk (London Bridge/Waterloo/Charing Cross just a short journey). Highly recommended.
