Excellent bed and breakfast! Beautiful house in a great location by Bixby Park. Host was very nice and accommodating and food was good! Would definitely stay again!
Pat was a great hostess. Our breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Loved the 112 year old home with beautiful furniture. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful, quiet, property. Very cozy inside. Small rooms, but cozy and well done. We picked Laguna room because it had a bath. Hosts were very nice and polite. Breakfast was very good. Would stay again.
I stayed two nights and would stay again. It is a nice BnB; Pat is super friendly and helpful. Broadway is a fairly busy street, so itâs best to close windows at night for noise. But once I did that it was totally quiet enough. I stayed in mid October and was quite fine not having air conditioning.
Iâm not a big fan of Long Beach in general, but discovered 4th St on my last day which changed everything - very cool strip of independent shops and eateries. Lunch at El Barrio Cantina was outstanding.
Pat was very pleasant and helpful during our stay.
The room was comfortable - with a ceiling fan which we kept on at all times. This was fine for October - but Iâm not sure if it would have been sufficient during July.
Breakfast was nice and, since this is a small property, we always ate on our own - but the table was set for more guests.
There wasnât anything immediately handy - but within a reasonable walk.
Things to know if you book here.
Make a point of checking your room NAME on your booking.
We met and tried to assist a couple who arrived the next night - who had the entry code for the property (which is the same for your room BTW). They didnât know which room it was and the desk isnât manned full time.
However, Pat did come through after a few minutes and got them sorted.
Parking was fine and the instructions they send you are clear to follow.
The free parking and breakfast included - along with a good price was why we chose here over the chain hotels which were closer to the âactionâ of Long Beach.
We ended up driving to some of the places and parking - which I still think made this an around good choice.
Room was quiet & TV had access to the usual streaming platforms - just remember to log out when you leave - unlike a previous guest who had our room.
Very nice comfortable home. Very clean. Free designated parking behind home. Much more convenient than a hotel, plus free parking and breakfast. Definately stay there for my next vusit to Long Beach.
Wonderful stay đ Great location in neighborhood with charming homes and walkable to 4th street vintage shops, vegan organic cafe, coffee shops etcâŠ
Pat is the best host one could ask for at a bed and breakfast. The location was convenient for an event were attending, the food was delicious and the room and bed were comfortable. We enjoyed our stayed so much that we have booked a year in advance for next year's event.
Pat is a very nice lady. There is no air condition which was a surprise, but we were there in October so was okay with the windows open. The street was busy with traffic so bring ear plugs. The food was good.
From the moment I arrived, I was charmed by the inn's warm and inviting atmosphere, thanks in large part to the gracious hosts, Jan and Courtney.
The daily expanded continental breakfast was a delightful start to my mornings, the broccoli quiche was my favorite! The complimentary coffee available all day was a great touch for caffeine lovers like myself.
The location in scenic Belmont Heights was a beautiful neighborhood to explore! Additionally it offered easy access to both Orange and LA Counties, Being just 3 blocks from the ocean was a definite plus as I did take advantage with some beach time!
The attention to detail and cleanliness in the guest rooms was evident. I was in the "Sunset Beach" room which was on the second floor. Having a television with cable and DVD in every room was a nice touch, although I didnât have the need for them on this trip. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. I will note for readers that this room does face Broadway, which is a busy street even at night. The road noise could be too much for some. The room did come with earplugs which I used to have a very peaceful nights sleep.
The free WiFi was much appreciated, allowing me to stay connected and attend to online business as needed. Overall, Beachrunners' Inn, with Jan and Courtney as its gracious hosts, provided quality lodgings with a genuine sense of comfort and hospitality. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a charming and relaxing place to stay in Long Beach
