A terrific place that is a close walk to the downtown area but far away enough to miss having the daily crowds near by. Place has everything you need in the room and out. The flowers are gorgeous and bike rentals the cheapest we found on the island. $20 for 4 hrs. Just a perfect place to unwind, read a book, or visit. Breakfast was basic but all fresh food for most part. Highly recommend this place.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is located a little down from the busy area of town. Shepler’s ferry was very easy to take and go to Mackinac Island. Hotel picked up our luggage from ferry and was in the room when we arrived. Hotel was recently remodeled and was very beautiful. Loved sitting on the front porch watching people and carriages go by. Breakfast was very good and staff very accommodating.

Room was nice; 2 sinks outside toilet/shower room were convenient, 2 suitcase stands convenient. Lacked some amenities we’re used to: desk and 2nd chair in room, no light or table on one side of queen bed, no view from our room (only a window a few feet from our balcony.)

The island is beautiful the place was cute too. The bed needed some real blankets and the hot water took a long time to heat up. FYI don’t stay on the third floor unless your really fit.

The outdoors gets lots of attention. Owners need to evaluate the condition of furniture. Chairs with stains and falling apart need re-covered or replaced. Other than that it was a good stay. Maybe let guests know that check in means you prefer them to check in no later than a particular time. We received a call that at 6pm, we were way past our check in time.
