Auberge prĂšs de HĂŽtel The Jewel at the Grand Hotel Ă Mackinac Island
There's a coffee shop/cafe on site. Public spaces have free WiFi and wired Internet. Inn on Mackinac also features concierge services, a porter, and an elevator.
Terrible experience. This is my first public comment over 30 years of travel.
Extremely noisy elevator bell located right in front of the room (which is not mentionned upon booking).
Rambling noise starting a 4:30 am probably due to washing machines.
I do not bother commenting on the rest. A hotel which does not guarantee proper resting should not exist.
Avoid at all cost.
What an absolutely darling Inn. We were pleasantly surprised to have gotten their only balcony room. The entire staff (but one person) was friendly, welcoming and ready to assist. We have already decided that the next time we go, we want to stay there again and request the balcony room. Always complimentarily available, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and fruit. Barista and fudge available for purchase in the lobby. Picture perfect and charming.
Staff were very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was not very good. The boiled eggs were several days old, only one choice of milk, etc. There also was no public refrigerator available which is important when there are none in the rooms, especially for nursing moms or those who have medicines that need refrigeration.
This property was the perfect location. Right on main Street but out of the hustle and bustle of all the shopping but close enough for an easy walk. Very quaint and comfortable property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
Service is non existent. This hotel felt that there is no need to provide any services. Very curt and blunt front desk, rude and indifferent. Do not prepay this hotel since they will not provide any change or adjustment regardless of ANY circumstances. There are many other accommodations on the island that provide courteous and accommodating service.
