It was New Year’s Eve, so it was over priced and basically hotel full of nuffies. I was on level 13 and could hear traffic and noise from our room. Let alone at 4am when a group of drunks decided to talk shot for too long outside our room. A little bit forgiven for NYE.
But basically a hotel/apartment block for under age kids and junkies. Not fun for a family.
The rooms were very spacious. Very clean. Only thing i can rate against this room was , there was no lock on the bathroom door, and dishwasher didnt work. Thats the only bad things about it. It was the pefect location. In the city, but out of the hustle of it all. China town in a 5 minute walk. Victoria markets around 15min walk. Right next door is IGA supermarket and bottle shop. The staff at Nolo are fantastic, Very warm and welcoming right from when we got there untill the minute we left. Always friendly. We had room 701. Mostly everything is new in there. Great view of the street from the balcony. Perfect spot really for a weekend getaway. Great for singles, couples and familes.
The location and price of the Oaks Melbourne was excellent. They offer their own parking and there is parking options nearby as well. The staff were lovely and my partner and I had a great experience.
There were a few small negatives that I will mention, there was a small amount of black mould in the bathroom silicone. The other things was that there was no stock of anything in the cupboards, by this I mean no spare blankets, no extra rolls of toilet paper, no plug for the bath or bathroom sink for shaving. It just felt like things were missing. In saying this we did not reach out to reception for any of these items as we were not too bothered by it, I imagine reception would have been happy to provide what we felt was missing.
Overall we had a good stay.

Location was great, a bit dated and the room was not serviced for our 5 night stay. We left the please make up sign out daily. We ended up going to woolies for our tea and coffee supplies. It was expected we empty our own bins and put down the shute. I expected more for the price.
Staff were lovely, location is excellent. The hand and body wash wasn’t filled before our arrival so that was disappointing. Also would have been nice to have an extra pillow and blanket incase. Loved having a kitchen and IGA is next door (or 2 doors down I can’t remember exactly) so very convenient. Washer and dryer was also very convenient. Overall we loved our stay here and will definitely stay there again in the future.

Good service and location, parking dicey to get in and out of, and accessibility to lobby a little tricky to navigate with prams (stairs and a heavy door on entrance).
Everything was great.. Except parking was a hefty $45 per night and almost impossible to get out of the carpark, very tight spaces and single lane making it quite dangerous.
Hotel was clean and very open plan, like something big was missing in the room. Sadly the two "king" beds were singles pushed together causing a massive hard lump in the middle and were not comfortable. Shower was in really high bath, making it hard and dangerous to get in and out from. I would stay again if cost was the deciding factor, however it definitely isn't my first choice.
