RATS, BUGS, MOLD, BROKEN APPLIANCES
PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO, DONâT STAY HERE!!!!! Booked in July. Missed the review posted in August. I wish I could post the pictures of all that I found. RATS, bugs, mold, water damage, glass, trash, wait thereâs more!!!! There is nothing worse than feeling cheated. Vrbo will not even get involved. I had to resolve the issues with Carlos. Everyday there was something new. Carlos knows how to play the game. Just by offering a refund however and not doing it can make him exempt if you stay through what you thought were minor at the time. Like I said it got progressively worse. I am from Miami and came home for a wedding. You will never get away from the bugs. But, cleanliness and presentation is still (or I thought) paramount. This house needs to be condemned. The pictures Carlos posted on this listing are a lie. When we first arrived the mold odor (we didnât realize what it was at first) was so bad you could smell it from outside the house. Once we were inside the house there were bugs in the corner of every room and broken glass was throughout the house and in the backyard. My daughter almost sliced her foot. Thank goodness we found it in time before she stepped on it. My other daughter leaned up against a closet door and it fell on her. The sliding glass door leading to the backyard had been shattered among the broken glass fixtures on the dinning table that were stuffed with trash. One of the dinning room chairs the seat was just placed in top of the frame. I sat on it and I slid out and fell because it was not bolted to the frame. The house wasnât properly cleaned nor was it finished when we arrived at check-in time. The dishes and utensils in the pantry were covered in food particles. The hallway bathroom mirror was being held up by a toothbrush cup holder and the shower curtain and ceiling (both bathrooms) were covered in mold spores (just because you paint the ceiling black doesnât mean it covers it). Light fixtures were riddled with dead bugs. The guest bathroom shower was a roll of the dice of either getting burned or taking a cold shower. Every blind in the house was broken and the furniture shown in the listing images was not there. It was as if Carlos had furniture brought in to stage the house then replaced it with broken run down furniture. The culminating event of the worst case was when we returned on the last night and I heard my wife and daughter scream from the RAT they saw running across the floor. DON NOT COME HERE!!!
