A group of six stayed here Wed-Sun. We usually love Marriotts / Moxys, but had an awful experience. Overall, the premises are cute and clean and it is nice having access to a pool and rooftop restaurant. Beyond that- the room situations are awful. The doors are so thin you can hear everything going in the hallway. If your room faces the pool, you can hear all the music and screaming. To top it off, our rooms weren’t cleaned a single time. We never had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. We had to flag down the cleaning crew on our floor everyday to ask for fresh towels. We complained about this to the hotel three times and they kept saying they would expedite our cleaning/take care of the towels/trash situation, but no one came. One employee said that the reason the room may not have been cleaned was because there was stuff on the bed. There was nothing on the bed, nor should this excuse the lack of trash being taken out, or towels and toilet paper being taken care of. We had a pile of dirty towels sitting on the floor the entire time because no one came in to clean. When asked for new sheets, they said they only provide service every other day. So when we came back to the room, the fresh sheets were sitting on top of our suitcase instead of making the bed (aka we had to make the bed). I personally have never experienced staying somewhere where your room is not serviced everyday, nor have I had to ask for replenishments of linens. Will absolutely not be staying here again.

There were some big miscommunications regarding my reservation which were quite frustrating. The rooms are tiny- not meant for more then 2 people and you need to bring your own hangers, they could only get us 4 which was frustrating. The room had a bad smell to it that wouldn’t go away and the shower had mold in it. The hotel common areas are great but the rooms are not worth it.

Moxy hotel is not at all what you advertised them for. The hotel did not provide standard cleaning ( only every second day) and they do not supply basics in the bathroom - no soap ! When we call front desk to ask for it they said - use the body wash…. And the rates were higher than at the beach front hotels - The Palms for example. . I made a big mistake for choosing this hotel and would not recommended to anyone - it is motel not hotel.

The hotel was ok. I was happy to be told before hand that the room was small. I was prepared for that. I was ok with getting the room serviced every other day. A couple of the front desk ladies need to brush up on customer service response.

I visited the Moxy in Ny and had a completely different experience. This Moxy wasn’t clean. The room smelled of mildew. It was so poorly ventilated that our towels didn’t dry. The room was dusty and small.

For the price, this was the smallest and most uncomfortable room I’ve ever stayed in. There are no closets or drawers in the room in which to put your things. Everything was overpriced from the water, to the drinks to the food. They charge $30 a DAY for amenities, of which there were few. The only “amenity“ I used was the Internet and a free cup of coffee in the morning. For a Marriott, it was very disappointing and I would never recommend Moxy. On the plus side, the staff was cheerful and helpful, the place was clean and bright, and they had a nice courtyard in which to sip your coffee. The location to the Art Deco area of South Beach was convenient.
