The pool was dirty, looked like a dog bath. Elecator lights didn’t work so it was very confusing. The hotel staff was very nice, but very slow. The hotel room- (1) the bed did not have a fitted sheet, (2) snack bar pringles were old- didn’t even crunch.... overall I probably would not stay there again and would not recommend it to a friend, over priced for the services and accommodations provided.

Horrible Hotel Experience

Just minutes after we checked in the elevator broke down and we were stuck for 5+ minutes. We had to climb and go down 3 flights of stairs our entire time there. We even over heard the desk attendant Zach say that the elevator broke because we were big. Our shower did not work and we hadfo call several times to get it fixed and it took 4 hours for someone to come. Only for it to do the exact same same thing the next day. We made rhdw most of our trip, but we will never stay again or recommend it to anyone.

Ok hotel

The hotel was ok I didn't like the smell once we got off the elevator. The room was dark very little lighting. Don't think we'll be staying here again

Not what I expected

It may be ok for some people but I could only stay one night. The staff was very accommodating and move me to another hotel.

Return visit

Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: More lights in bedroom and dresser for clothing.
Location: Close to oceanfront, shopping and restuarants.
This was the second time we stayed at the Metropole. Was not as impressed as we were the first time. Our refrigerator leaked the first day or so and we had to call again to have someone come look at it. When he arrived, did not speak English and we could not understand what he was saying. Finally, the frig was replaced. Also there was no bedside light in the bedroom which would have been nice. No place to hang washclothes in the bathroom. This is convenient to eating, shopping and nightlife, however it is very noisy all the time.

Do NOT stay at the here, it's a health hazard!

Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: HOUSEKEEPING. They should clean all their linens with stains (or replace them) and get rid of the moldy ceilings that gave me chest pain.
Location: great location. right by all the shops and one block from the beach.
The hotel can seem nice with a quick glance. The facilities look modern and new-ish however after staying here for a night I began to notice how disgusting the hotel was. I stayed in a two bedroom suite. It had a small kitchenette and living room. There was barely enough room for the pull out bed in the living room but that's no big deal. The kitchen garbage can could barely fit more than a couple pieces of trash but again not a big deal. Here's the BIG DEAL: MOLD. STAINS. everywhere. I stayed in a full size bed that had dark and white stains ALL OVER the bedding and the bed frame. This is REPULSIVE and I cannot believe that a hotel rated 3-stars online had such disgusting rooms. The walk-in closet had black fuzzy mold in the corners of the ceiling. The walls of the hotel room in the hallway also had odd stains on them. And the shower did not have a door so anytime someone showered, there was a huge puddle and water all over the bathroom. When I noticed the mold I asked to speak with the General Manager. Her and the head of housekeeping came to see my hotel room and apologized many times about the condition of the room. The hotel manager offered lunch at any of their other hotels. I never did take her up on the lunch, given I left later that day. I will never return to this hotel.
