Lacking Empathy and Refusing Support During a Family Medical Crisis We were traveling to this hotel to stay the night before my mother-in-law’s cancer surgery when we received the devastating news that her procedure had been canceled at the last minute. I had booked a non-refundable room through Expedia, but I immediately contacted them and explained the situation. I even offered to provide medical documentation. We were not asking for a refund. We simply hoped to rebook the same room type for the following week, as the surgery had already been rescheduled. Expedia made every effort to advocate for us, but the manager at this Holiday Inn Express refused to assist in any way—no date change, no flexibility, no understanding. During an already emotional and stressful time, this lack of compassion was incredibly disheartening. I am sharing this experience in hopes of receiving a response and, more importantly, encouraging better support for families facing medical emergencies.

The hotel was dirty and in a state of disrepair. The walls in the hallway walls had several areas were crumbling and the debri was in floor. The patio furniture you see upon entering was disgusting. The breakfast area was not clean.

The room and entire hotel were very dingy, stained carpet throughout, dinged up and dirty walls and doors. There was some large beetle or roach on the floor in our room. Wouldn’t stay here again no matter how cheap

If I could’ve left a 0 zero star I would. Don’t book this hotel it’s really a motel. They don’t answer the phone when you need something. Parking lot is full at night so you have to find parking in the back. Which no one told us had to figure it out. Staff ride as hell for no reason.

Rooms need upgrades. The ceiling was cracked and falling apart. The bathtub/shower needs replacement. There was soo much rust and residue around the bathtub drain. Taking a shower felt like standing in the tub as the water was not draining. The toilet did not flush. The outlets did not work. The lighting was terrible and some lights did not work. The TV did not work. There was a smell and the blankets had stains on them. We had to get a new room which was not mych better than the toilet flushed and the TV worked.
