The back of the cottage property is home to seven chickens and 4 raised garden beds full of vegetables. During your stay you are welcome to fresh eggs and produce that is available. In the hot summer months we do stop daily to make sure both chickens and plants are watered, but will not bother your stay.

Pet-friendly with a beautiful backyard for everyone to enjoy. The chicken coupes, the garden, the location, the ease of check in, the cleanliness- and there’s so much to do in the area too! We will be back: this was one of the best vrbo stays we have ever had.

This place was great! Perfect for a small family with dogs. The pool table and large fenced in back yard were fantastic for the down time we had at the house. Very clean and welcoming. Close to the interstates gas stations and food yet in a very country setting. We will 100% stay again if we're in the area.

Cairl Cottage is perfect for our annual trip to OH. Very clean, great communication with owner, accommodating of extra guests and even has the added hospitality of offering eggs from chickens and produce from their garden. We will book this cottage every year.

I'd stay again

Everything else was as I expected, and I would stay again. Quiet area, good working AC, hot water for the shower. Pool table was nice too.I have to ding it 1 star on "cleanliness" only because when we arrived, there was a strong odor of cat pee/litter. We searched and could not find the source, or any evidence of a cat, so possibly the previous guests brought a cat? We aired it out and was manageable for the remainder of the stay. Everything was actually clean, so I really have no idea where the smell came from. I hesitated mentioning this in the review, because if it was a previous guest, it isn't the fault of the owner. But ultimately, I feel like if anyone had been in the house within the previous 24 hours to clean or anything, it would have been immediately obvious. So, I'm doing this to make sure it doesn't get overlooked in the future for anyone.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our two nights at this property. It was exactly as described. The beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. A creek runs along the property and we could hear and see Redwing blackbirds. Also enjoyed walking in the backyard to see the chickens. Very private as it backed up to the Metropark. If we’re in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

Visiting Family for Spring Break

We had a great stay at this cottage. The twin over full bunk bed was just like the one at our home, so the kids felt right at home. Having the chickens to check on and provide us with fresh eggs was awesome! The kids absolutely loved it, and they enjoyed the fenced in backyard. Having the room with the pool table was a great spot to hang out, and fun to have the cousins and family over to spend time together. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and it met all our needs.

A restful and peaceful retreat

Such a beautiful place for a restful stay. The home was very clean and well maintained. I especially like the rec room with pool table. It provided us an added gem to our stay. I loved getting eggs from the chickens and veggies from the garden, and I made omelets for everyone with these goodies. Our stay was definitely a 10 out of 10!!!

Beautiful home

The house was beautiful, in such a quiet peaceful neighborhood. My kids loved the chickens and fenced in big back yard. House was very clean and well stocked. Owners were very helpful and answered all my questions quickly.
