The outside and parking lot are a little run down but inside, the rooms are very nice, plenty of towels and toiletries. Mini fridge, microwave and a nice TV. Walkable area in “town”. About a half mile long Main Street with a few restaurants, an ice cream shop and some stores. Needed a place close to Shippensburg without spending hundreds of dollars during PIAA States track weekend and this was perfect.
No onsite staff. But they were helpful and it worked out getting to our room.
The carpet was positively disgusting. The room needed an update, but it was otherwise clean.
Right on a busy thoroughfare and we heard trucks going by all hours.
Property exterior was horrible and upkept.
I picked this hotel on a trip to visit Dickinson College with my teen and it was so much less expensive than the hotels in Carlisle proper. We were coming in late - after 8 p.m. - and I had to call ahead of time to get my room number and access to the key. The person on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. We found our way there on one of Pennsylvania's many winding little roads (that led right into Carlisle, about 10 minutes away). There were lovely snacks in the room that were devoured immediately by kid, and bottled water, a very thoughtful touch, especially since there isn't too much in the immediate area, although there is a dollar store nearby. The room was cute and clean, the TV was a Roku so we could log in and watch our own stuff, the wifi was free and worked perfectly, and the beds and bedding were soft, clean and comfortable. If you want a generic hotel room from a giant corporation, it's not for you. If you like supporting a local business and are looking for a comfy and cute place to spend the night near Carlisle, it's perfect.
The pictures are an inaccurate representation of the property where rooms are was dated building, doors and furniture. Shower didn’t get warmer than lukewarm. Smelt stale and musty. What I would expect at a cheap travel lodge or $50 room in this area.
While the room was clean and fresh smelling, there was damaged moulding, pealed paper from the Sheetrock on the ceiling and an old, strained regged in places carpet that should be replaced. The king bed had only one somewhat comfortable side. I never understood why hotels don't rotate their mattress to ensure even where. In their defense, the bathroom looked to be newly renovated. There were also a small coffee pot and a tray of snacks with water. Based on the bed I probably won't stay there again.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Not bad for short stays
At first from the outside structure we were very concerned about staying here. It looked like an old hotel from the pass with a closed restaurant attached. Note on the door to call for assistance and we spoke with Misty who was very pleasant to speak with. She told us our room number and combo lockbox to get key for the room. Walking in it was nice to see room 10 was updated and clean. A few repairs needed on the walls and ceiling. There was a welcome basket in the room. We decided to stay but not knowing the community was concerned for the area. It turned out to be a safe area. Its basic but was clean and for one night passing through the area this room was find.
This made for an easy waypoint two nights two and from Philadelphia for me. I got a short run in on Saturday morning and found it navigable and scenic. Would definitely stay again if life brings me east again.
Nice, big, clean room in a quiet town. Exterior was a bit oldtime and outdated. Unmanned check-in but was easy and not time consuming. The town seemed quiet and safe.
