Loved the house and location. House cleanliness was not the best. Needs a good deep cleaning(corners, base of toilet/shower handles). Rug had not been vacuumed. Hand prints all over doors/windows. Stove didnt have hot plates, we had to buy a new coffee carafe because the one there was broke.
On the first day we had some cleaning to do. The kitchen had some dirty containers and the flatware drawers were dirty with dirty flatware in them. Also, the main floor and living room carpet were very dirty. We had a couple of almost one year olds who crawl and their legs and feet became black. Housekeeping came to clean the rug with a new vacuum cleaner, but it was determined it needs more of a commercial one to be able to do it. The rug is not suitable for that environment. Other than that, our stay was wonderful. We have worked with Dunes Beach before and know that they are good. On the last day we had requested to stay a couple of hours later and were told it was okay. However, the cleaning crew arrived right at checkout time. Clearly a miscommunication in housekeeping.
Overall our experience was wonderful and we had a great family vacation.
We came two weeks after Hurricane Ian. There was still quite a bit of clean up to happen in the area, but it was still beach accessible and we enjoyed our time. We just didnât have a heated pool since it was still be serviced. Canât complain if thatâs all that was wrong after a storm.
Great loved being close to Pier and shops
Only issue was linen was not in houseâ office was great in resolving issue but we had to make all the beds after linen was delivered
The property was clean and pleasant. The beach is close to the house and the pool was clean and beautiful. Due to the pandemic, we spent a lot of time at the pool since the beautiful beach was a bit crowded at times. The kitchen was well appointed but the outdoor grill was barely usable. There was another but not a good one. There was a lot of motorcycle and "big muffler" trucks which made it hard to sleep at night for the guests near the street. . Over all, it was a pleasant vacation.
