Second stay at Dayton House and it’s a great place to stay. The free breakfast is a nice touch and the Yella Umbrella Pool bar is a great highlight. The Umbrellas, tables, and lounge chairs are super convenient and not offered by many hotels. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Myrtle Beach.

This is our second time staying. It was amazing just like the first time. The only thing that I didn’t like was coming into the room there was paint chipping all over the bed and a cigarette burned pillow.. also the ugly sore the side of the water pipe being installed in our ocean view and I think that that should’ve been a discount for that messing up your ocean view that was not in the details prior to booking

I loved staying in the West Building! Room was clean, cozy and quiet enough that I slept great, plus it was an easy stroll to the Rose Room for breakfast each morning (lots of yummy options). The check-in/out processes were also a breeze thanks to Dayton House's virtual kiosk (still a live attendant), which I appreciated when the front desk was busy. I didn't use the outdoor pool or bar but it was nice to have direct access to the beach! There was also ample parking when I arrived; it was tougher to find a spot my 2nd night (Friday) but I lucked out when a family left one open right outside the West Building! Not sure when I'll be back in Myrtle, but I wouldn't hesitate to book a room at Dayton House again. Thanks so much for a relaxing experience!

Dampness in the hallways and wet floors. The bedroom carpet had a bad smell, as did the refrigerator, which was riddled with bugs! It wasn't a good experience. They show you one type of room, only to give you something smaller and of poorer quality. 3/10. I wouldn't go to the same resort again. I'd even like a refund.

There was a dead mouse on the floor of our room when we checked in and all they did was pick it up. The next day we ran into the lady who was in the room the night before us. They had moved her out of that room because the mouse ran across her foot when she was standing in the room. It is very gross that they knew there could be a live rat in that room and they put us in there anyways. We received no compensation and neither did the other lady. Otherwise the view was nice…
