About this space
Take a break and unwind at this peaceful country oasis. Private stand alone 600 sq. ft. guest house with private backyard. Minutes from downtown Murfreesboro, shopping, and restaurants. Just a hop, skip and a jump to Barfield Park with numerous outdoor activities. Short drive to local historical sites like Stones River Battlefield, Oaklands Mansion, and Rutherford County's pre-Civil War courthouse. Also convenient to downtown Nashville, Arrington Vinyard, and Jack Daniel's Distillery.
The space
The bedroom has a queen size bed. Although the space can easily accomodate two people, if you have more people don't let that deter you! ( If you would like to use our queen size air mattress, it is available for an additional $15 charge per night. Bedding supplies will be provided. Please request upon booking.)

There is an alarm clock with a bluetooth speaker. 42 in. TV in the bedroom. Large bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is a private patio in the back with a gas firetable. Living room has a 42 in. TV. Both TV's have Direct TV and capabilities for other servers. The apartment boasts high speed internet and a table that can be used for a work space. There is also an adjustable laptop table that can be used as a bed desk, or on a sofa. Games are in the living room TV cabinet. The kitchen has a full size refridgerator, pans, plates, bowls, coffee cups, silverware, glasses, microwave, cooking utensils, blender, two burner hotplate, toaster oven, Kurig with a variety of coffee.
Guest access
Guests are able to use the entire space as well as the back patio. Back patio has a gas firetable as well as a bistro table with 2 chairs and an umbrella. Also, there is a large firepit in the front that they are also welcome to use with four adriondack chairs.
Other things to note
We have a queen size air mattress available in case you have more people to accommodate. It is a $15 addition per night.

The host provided everything we needed and then some like coffee, snacks, bottled water, fluffy towels, soft bed linens, and a make-up mirror. Our son and family live close by so we could spend the day with them,and then come back to Hummingbird Hideaway in the evening.

Great hospitality!

Location is easy to get to and yet secluded and quiet. House has everything one needs for a stay away from home. Perfectly clean and comfortable! Thick towels and anything you might need in the kitchen. Great place to stay!

Hummingbird Hideaway was a spectacular place to stay in a beautiful setting. It was so well appointed, clean, lovely, and comfortable. The patio view of trees and expansive lawn was restful and serene. The very kind owners, Jim and Marie, had thought of everything a guest could want. The bed was so very comfortable. The living room had a very nice sofa and side chairs to rest on. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, small appliances, coffee set-up. The owners had even left snacks and bottled water for us. Charlie, the owners dog, greeted us with a smile and a wagging tail. It was fun to see him run and play with us. We hope to stay here again the next time we visit the area. Thank you for providing such a lovely, welcoming place!

Peaceful Retreat

We stayed at the Hummingbird Hideaway for four nights while visiting family in the area. It was exceptionally clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed to make a nice breakfast before heading out for the day. And it was a lovely peaceful retreat to come back to after a busy day with kids and grandkids.

When you read and see the pictures for Hummingbird hideaways listing, what you see is what you get. It is a Fantastic stay! The hosts are great and they have thought of everything from shower/bathroom items to full stocked kitchen. Heck, they even have a few snacks and items you wouldn't even expect! The creativity and style of the Hideaway is excellent for a relaxing stay. From the games , to the TVs (2), to the popcorn, kickback select a movie and make a night of it. The cleanliness and furnishings are top shelf, nothing missing or broken and nothing out of place. Very well done! It has a coffee maker and a large selection of pods for your enjoyment, a full side refrigerator, microwave and dishes and every other gadget you might need. Outside, there is a firepit, lots of seating and another patio with seating behind you backdoor. Parking for 2 cars Comfortably, and easy to get to. Convenient to restaurants, wineries and other activities. If you don't have a great stay at The Hummingbird Hideaway, it's on you. As for myself, I will definitely be coming back to visit.
