Ocean Front Carousel 1609 - new owner freshly remodeled!! Sunday to Sunday!

Greetings and thank you for taking the time to look at our newest condo in the Carousel! In keeping with the traditions and high level of value we expect of our selves for out guests, we are happy to present our newest unit as a preview of the many changes which are coming down the line as we honor the existing rentals then prepare for the Off Season upgrades.

This is our second unit and if you have questions about how we handle things since there are not a lot of reviews yet, please look at our other unit which is 1709 in the carousel (directly above this unit) to see how great we value our guests! https://www.vrbo.com/1886403


This unit will be rented from Sunday to Sunday! Right from the start we have already began making upgrades, including moving our unit from Building Wi-Fi to a private connection which is 100s of MBPS faster than the free Wi-Fi provided by the building. By moving our guests to a paid dedicated service which is not shared with the rest of the building we ensure that our guests have a quality Internet connection for anything from VPN into work to watching cartoons with the kids on vacation! Brand new mattresses on every bed! Lots of new furniture in every room!

Other benefits we have added to this condo include the largest hot water heater we were allowed to get that fits in the space. It may seem like something odd to bring up, but when your whole family comes up from the beach to go to dinner or the board walk, you don't have to worry about being one of the first 2 so you get one of the warm showers. With the large tank we have enough that everyone has a chance to take a warm shower to get ready.

We also did a similar layout to our other bunk room in 1709, with 3 beds in the second bedroom including 2 full size beds, its much more possible that all the kids can get a bed instead of sleeping on the pull out sofa and having to have your "bed" turned back into a sofa in the morning every day!

As we keep going we welcome future input of new and existing guests on how we can get this new unit to our 5 star standards! Please feel free to send messages here or for any of our booked guests, you will receive an email with contact details so you can reach us right away in an emergency! In addition we are already upgrading the showers in each bathroom to include shower wands and have already installed new furniture on the bay side balcony so you can enjoy bay side sunsets to match the ocean side sun rises!

While parking in Ocean City has always been a premium staying at the Carousel does come with some amenities that are extremely rare like the option to park UP TO TWO CARS! in the garage on the corner of 118th and Coastal Highway! The one drawback is that check in at the Carousel does charge a $50 cash fee which must be paid at check in. I have tried multiple ways but there is no option to have the fee waived for my guests so I can pay it directly. As a result we have already factored this $50 check in fee into the rates for each rental and we are sorry that the fee needs to be paid in cash at check in time!

Please note that due to high linen rental costs, linens are not provided. Guests should bring sheets and towels. Pillows and comforters are on all beds with pillow liners and mattress covers, but not fitted sheets or pillow cases. If a guest is looking to rent linens, I can provide the contact details for a company we wanted to use, but VRBO will not let me put in an optional fee, so that guests can pick if they want to rent linens (and it was too high of a cost for me to require it with every rental)

Very comfortable condo unit with amazing views on both sides of the building! Great for just the two of us, but a family would really be comfortable here too! Paul is a great communicator. Beds are great, sheets and towels included!

Wonderful break

The place was very comfortable and very welcoming. The view of the beach was amazing, the constant sound of the ocean will be remembered for a long time. The bed was first class. We are looking forward to getting away again.

Will Return Again!

Loved everything about this condo-beds were super comfy, kitchen had everything we needed to cook and both balconies had awesome views. Elevators were super fast - a big plus getting up and down to the 16th floor. Highly recommend and will definitely rent again.

Condo was clean and view was spectacular! What else do you want right on the beach! Check-in and checkout was seamless. As a family of four there was more than enough room. Supermarket across the street is very convenient. Host was very quick to respond with any questions. Had a great vacation. Definitely will be visiting again!

Had a lovely vacation at Ocean City this past week. We returned to the Carousel after a great trip the previous year renting an apt direct with the resort. This year we found Paul's rental and loved all of the renovations and upgrades that he had made and decided to book with him.We are a family of five, so it's hard to find a rental in the town where each kid can have their own bed. This rental checks that box for us, none of the kids had to sleep on a couch, and they got their separate room from us!The upgraded water heater, the large TVs, the separate Wi-Fi that could handle multiple devices at once, the washer and dryer, and the super comfy new beds were all so wonderful!Paul was also very responsive and super informative. Highly impressed!

Major updates and great communication

I had stayed here in prior years but now the new owner has updated a ton and replaced many things like the new beds! Communications were answered within minutes every time! I would definitely stay here again given all the updates! New beds were a welcome surprise and felt great!

Clean, spacious, beachy condo. Kitchen has lots of counter/storage space, could use a new fridge (as a future improvement). Oceanfront and Bayside balconies had comfy furniture and fantastic views. The Oceanfront balcony door could use some WD40/greasing to make the door slide easier. Location was great with the ocean, bay, many restaurants, shops, etc in walking distance. Condo property offers many amenities as well as activities for families for additional value. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Quick and friendly communication with the owner. Our family would stay here again.

Perfect weekend getaway

The host was so communicative and friendly from the beginning. Booked this for a long weekend for my son’s 13th bday. HE LOVED THE VIEW! The condo is beachy, cozy, and clean. The Carousel is an OC icon and we loved the staff and amenities. Surprisingly we lucked out with a sunny warm vacay in mid May, had fun at the indoor ice rink, and the beach is easily accessible. Check in was seamless. There were a few things I forgot to pack, dish towels, paper towels, and zip lock bags, little things… but there’s a grocery store right across the street. So convenient. Loved our stay and would absolutely return.
