This kind of accommodation is suitable for those who are looking for something less expensive, and donât care about luxury. Itâs practical. It served its purpose at lest for us, but I have to confess it was a bit of a hustle to arrive in Paris with my luggage, then go to a specific place to retrieve the keys, then go to the accommodation. Itâs a different experience than booking a hotel, checking in, and not having to worry about anything else!
But if youâre okay with this kind of arrangement, great!
At least the communication was good, I knew what to do, where to go, but all this information came in when I was halfway on my trip, so I had to adjust my plan as I went.
When we arrived at the flat, the place smelled a bit like mold and we couldnât air it out because thereâs no windows. We couldnât leave the front door open to air out the flat because it was cold and also for privacy reasons.
The floor is too squeaky. The dishwasher is extremely loud! And the bathroom is an odd thing: the toilet and the shower are separated from the sink and vanity, so if you use the toilet you have to go all the way around to wash your hands - unless you are okay using the kitchen sink!
The place had everything we needed: clean towels and bedsheets, dinnerware, and some supplies.
There are lots of grocery stores nearby.
On our checkout, another half hour missed due to the tasks that needed to be completed: taking out the trash, dishes, making sure everything was okay, then retrieving the keys
Not a good property. Difficult to get and return key, A guy in a window above the front door tried to ash his cigarette on my kids as we tried to unlock the door. The place had spiderwebs and was very shoddy overall. We didnât even stay there because we felt unsafe and had to book a different hotel which wasted our time and energy in Paris.
