The apartment was well kept and in a fantastic location near the water and sites. We very much enjoyed our time. Our hostess was easy to communicate with and gave us some helpful tips. The only down if there was one was the expectation that parking was available at no cost. Not sure why we were told that or thought that. But it was a 120 for our car at the designated lot.
It is clear the host went out of their way to make visitors comfortable and was very responsive to communication. The location was excellent, the apartment was clean and well maintained. The negatives were little things that could be easily rectified. Unfortunately the elevator was broken during our stay, so we had the carry luggage up about 60 steps, and walk up and down them anytime we left or returned which was quite inconvenient. The apartment had a very strong fake lemon scent that bothered our allergies, so required airing out by keeping the door and windows open. I think it was from laundry detergent and/or fabric softener. The shower was excellent but the shower floor needs a mat as it is quite slippery. There is a wine/tapas restaurant across the alleyway whose patrons were easily heard if the windows were open. That meant we couldnât keep them open for the lovely evening breeze if we retired before 10pm. Finally, the pillows were too firm, almost hard. But I would stay here again if the elevator is repaired as overall it was a nice place and ideal location walkable to everything Porto has to offer.
Porto is a great place to visit. So much history and culture. So much to do. We were never bored. Our studio apartment was perfect. Size. Location. Amenities.
We had chosen this studio flat as it was near the river and in the historical area. We were very pleased with the location as we were only 5 minutes from the river and Luis bridge. We had not realised how hilly Porto was and found all we needed by the river as well as booking a couple of tours. There were many small and larger restaurants close by and a couple of small food shops. The larger supermarket was just over a mile away.Accommodation was well equipped for self catering and comfortable. Only slight concern was the bed sheets. The âfitted sheetâ was for a larger bed so kept coming loose! Also we didnât find the tea towels until the day before we left.We very much enjoyed our stay but think Porto will suit younger people the most (we are in our early 70s and not as fit as we were)
Clean and well appointed apartment in the downtown area within walking distance of main attractions and Sao Bento station. Really enjoyed our stay, would stay again and recommend to others.
Very convenient to see historical sights. Do NOT turn into the street the apartment is on, but continue along main road to paid parking . People got stuck on the narrow road. Parking needs to be made more clear for guests- perhaps a simple map? Otherwise a clean and well maintained apartment near many amenities.down the syreet
We loved the studio apartment. It had everything we needed for our stay. The location was great! It was close to many shops and restaurants and only about 5 minutes to the water. We had a beautiful view.
This is a great centrally located apartment close to the river, restaurants etc.
The only issue we had was having to chase the property manager to gain access to the property.
This was an excellent, clean apartment in the heart of Porto, close to the river. SĂłnia was a responsive host and gave clear check-in instructions. Definitely would stay again!
Very good stay, apartment was clean and in a great location, close to all the sites, lots of dining options within a 5 -10 min walk.. the only complaint i have is that the elevator didnt work, amd the apartment is on the 3rd floor. Not a huge deal for us, we walked the whole city!
Perfect location in the historic section and only steps away from the Douro River. We were able to walk to all things Porto. The apartment is clean, comfortable and convenient. We would surely stay again if we re-visit Porto.
Surgical suite clean and very attractive, but furnished in a vary spartan way. Kitchen could have been suppplied a little better - drinking glasses, etc. Listing said there was a soaking tub of some kind but not to be found. Texted host but she didnât respond. In fairness I think she has family issues out of town and was preoccupied. Very nice elevator but really slow and acted kind of squirrelly the last couple of days. Great bathroom but could use some shelf space. Best of all? The location is spectacular and has groceries, liquor, and several good restaurants within a block. Can see part of Luis 1 bridge from the room. About 8 min walk to Metro. Perfect? No. Thumbs up? Yes.
Location was perfect! Everything you could need or want is within walking distance. Communication with Sonia was easy. Apartment was clean and quiet. There is an elevator in the building which was great! Overall it was a great stay!
Newly renovated studio apartment in Ribeiro section of Porto. On the 3rd floor (fourth for Americans) with elevator (was out of order when we arrived but was fixed by second day of our stay). Owner was very responsive and helpful. Apt. Was clean and all we needed. Wifi & smart TV, coffee maker, fridge, & kitchenette. Would recommend this place!
Amazing location near river and sights! Property just as pictured. Comfortable bed (full/double), amazing water pressure in shower, minimal staples, working washing machine. Never did find the free parking but the road parallel to alley does not charge after 7 pm and Sunday so worked for us.
