The property is well cared for and well run! It is a few blocks from the main street of restaurants and the Church. It is easy walking distance to the harbour and the bus terminal. We did not choose the breakfast option. The room had a nespresso machine. We had a room with a separate sitting area from the bedroom. It was great! With a view of the church. The ART everywhere really elevated the hotel into a be seen place.

Great location walkable to sights and dining in Old Town and along the river. Breakfast very good, and free parking a huge plus in that neighborhood. (but be forewarned the parking is very tight if you have an SUV, 4x4, any larger vehicle). Art collection is very quirky. Otherwise decor is very dark and a little dated in common spaces (not rooms), but we didn't care. Elevator very small/old. Only 1 person & baggage at a time.

Great Hotel

Nice hotel with a lovely lounge and bar area. Close to the main area (walking distance). Car parking available without fee.Comfortable room, cozy bed and bedding. We stayed twice we liked it so much.

Hotel is in quiet residential area but walking distance to shopping and restaurant areas. Gabriela in the reception desk was particularly helpful, effective and professional. She recommended places of interest to us , helped us to book tickets and taxi as needed. We had a comfortable stay.

Of the three places we stayed in we like this place the best. Not right in the heart of the downtown shopping area so it felt like we were able to walk down and enjoy those elements of the dirt hut not be immersed in them. Walkable, good restaurants within an easy stroll of the hotel. The bar in the hotel was very comfortable with deep leather chairs, fireplace and friendly bartender. Old timey elevator with a lush open door and no gate to slide across. Just hit enough to fit two people snd a couple of bags. The suite was clean with a free first mini bar drink or snack, comfortable bed, nicest bathroom so far with a deep tub, and a nice sitting room. For the money - right in the middle of the price range of places we stayed we by far like it the best.

Stayed here on 2 different occasions. It wss nice, dated - but in a historical way that i appreciated. Im sensitive to smells and my biggest issue is there is a smell, and i cannot tell if it was from the curtains or something else. It was so bad the 2nd stay that i had to sleep with my shirt over my nose. Outside of that it was nice and i enjoyed the breakfast that i prepurchased.

We had a wonderful stay! The front desk people were so helpful and we were able to see Northern Lights. We enjoyed the jazz live music in the hotel, too. We’ll definitely go back to stay if we can go back to Iceland!

We loved the location of the hotel and the rooms were spotlessly clean so well done housekeeping, but the hotel had two male receptionists that couldn't have done more for us and one female receptionist who was very off hand and who couldn't have cared less when we got stuck in the lift and when we returned for a third night at the hotel after touring other parts of Iceland couldn't remember us . She definitely lets down the hotel with a very poor attitude which is a shame because it's a great hotel with a great location.
