When I booked I mentioned that it should be bed and breakfast, but to my greatest surprise, we were told to pay for our breakfast! We didn't find it funny! Why would we go to Morgana and pay such high rate when there were five star hotels with so many amenities and cheaper. I can definitely say we shall not go back there again. The staff were nice people though!

Cruise hotel??!!

Good hotel with a great location (proximity to Roma Termini Station) and restaurants. Not overly special, but served our needs. Please note, if you are cruising out of Civitavecchia, you will have to carry your bags up and down staircases at the Civitavecchia train station if that's how you get into the city from Rome.

Room needed renovating. Bath area had major flaws and caused water to leak. The worst part was the wifi. Being a tourist, we rely on hotel wifi so we don’t waste our cellular data. I let teh hotel know the wifi was at a very low signal. They said they would reset it. I don’t know if they did. They told me the next day they did l, but the signal was still awful. I gave up on telling them. Just couldn’t wait to leave.

Nice and clean, very near Roma Termini for transport links. Staff friendly and helpful. Described as near to most tourist attractions, but i wouldnt say they were in walking distance . But hop on hop off bus from termini is just round the corner and great for major attractions.

Hotel Morgana was wonderful! The hotel was conveniently located near the train station, taxi accessibility and shopping. We felt safe at all times. The breakfast buffet was exceptional! Hotel front desk could be a little more friendly except for one individual who we unfortunately didn’t get his name (maybe the manager?) who works in the mornings was very friendly and helped us with securing us with transportation to the cruise port. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying there again during our next trip.

NOT SAFE – HOTEL SHOULD INVESTIGATE

I’m sharing this experience in hopes of helping others avoid the trauma we went through. We booked Hotel Morgana last-minute so we could attend Pope Francis’ viewing before heading home. We checked out around 3:15 AM on April 24, 2025 to catch an early flight. While we were checking out, an unfamiliar man entered the lobby. The receptionist casually said he was “making sure everything was safe.” This man wore no uniform or professional attire. Was he a legitimate security for the hotel? Moments later, we walked toward our taxi, about 200 meters away. Just 100 meters from the hotel, at the intersection of Via Filippo Turati and Via Gioberti, I was assaulted and robbed. Someone grabbed my arm from behind, threw me to the ground, took my iPhone, ran. We screamed and chased him back toward the hotel. Two nearby gentlemen tried to help, but it was too late. The thief had vanished. We returned to the hotel immediately. The same “security” man stood outside, having witnessed the chase, and did nothing. The receptionist remained seated at the front desk, didn’t check on us, didn’t offer help. Only the two strangers who had tried to help earlier escorted us safely to our taxi. I urge Hotel Morgana’s management to review the security camera footage from 3:05 AM to 3:35 AM on April 24, 2025. This incident should not be ignored. Losing a phone is painful but the irreplaceable photos is worse. The phone was last pinged on Via Sant'Anna 32, 80011 in Naples 2 days after the incident.

Old charm

The stay was comfortable, a bit noisy at times due to front doors needing repair but overall enjoyed the stay. Shower was small and door would get in the way. Rating was due to building needing some touch ups and repairs.
