The Space:

Welcome to Coolwater Lakeside© - Ideal for families or couples who enjoy a home where the details and thoughtfulness have already been attended to.  Located on Fry Creek, this home offers a private dock with great protection for boats, and a boat lift, yet is just 500' from the opening to 43 mile long Lake Pend Oreille.



The front door opens to an extensive Great Room with views out to the grassy lawn and waterfront.  A massive kitchen island offers room for multiple cooks and the kitchen is fully appointed with everything from cook and bakeware, spices, rice cooker, crock pot and commercial grade appliances.  A custom made, long rectangular table centers the dining area and a gas fireplace, large flat screen TV and leather couches, under a vaulted ceiling, make for an ideal entertainment area.



The main floor master bedroom suite provides waterfront views, King sized bed and a large stand-alone bathtub with separate shower area.  There is plenty of room for younger kids to 'nest' here and a port-a-crib and high chair are provided for families with young children.



Upstairs you'll find 2 private bedrooms, each with a King-size bed, a full bathroom and a separate Cool Club -- which doubles as a 4th bedroom with three bunkbeds,  an additional family room for watching movies, playing foosball and a game table for puzzles or game night.  Perfect for the kids and their friends, cousins or grandkids.



Outside, 150' of private waterfront on Fry Creek awaits you. Enjoy al fresco dining at the large outdoor table.  Soak away the sore muscles after enjoying a day of hiking or skiing in the massive hot tub. Schweitzer Mountain is just 35 minutes away and offers activities all year long.  Enjoy s'mores around the outdoor fire pit or ride bikes along the Sagle bike trail across Long Bridge and right into downtown Sandpoint.



Two stand up paddle boards (SUPs) and two kayaks are provided at no additional cost as well as use of the private boat lift on the brand new dock.  Board games, ping pong table, foosball table make for many laughs and joy-filled game nights.



**NOTE:  Each year, on September 18th OR the 3rd Sunday in September (whichever is later), the Army Corps of Engineers begins dropping the water level of Lake Pend Oreille until ultimately reducing it by a total of 10-12 feet.  Around the 4th week in September ALL boat docks and boat lifts on the lake become inaccessible and unusable, as the water completely recedes back from the shoreline leaving just bare ground beneath the docks.  The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.



**NOTE: Families live here year round and while it's an ideal vacation spot -- it is also intended to be a quiet and respectful community where quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10PM - 8AM.  No parties, events are allowed and we require a minimum age of renter to be at least 32 years of age.



**NOTE:  This property is equipped with a privacy-safe noise monitoring device.  The device measures volume levels (decibels) only, and can alert the property manager if a certain volume threshold is detected.  The device does not and cannot record audio.

Guest has access to entire home and property, including the private dock.



The Neighborhood:

The homes along Fry Creek are ideal for families who enjoy being together, playing outside, a gourmet kitchen and yet just a short distance to downtown Sandpoint. The Sagle bike trail is paved and can also provide easy access into town.



Getting Around:

A car or bike is necessary for getting into downtown Sandpoint or it`s about a 3 mile walk.



Other Things to Note:

Stand up paddle boards, kayaks, ping pong and foosball table, board games are all provided at no additional cost for guests. This home is fully appointed with luxury linens and spices in the kitchen, etc.



Interaction with Guests:

Check-in instructions will be emailed and texted a few days prior to arrival and guests will also receive a text message on arrival day. A complete Home Handbook is located inside the home and a concierge will most likely stop by on arrival day to say hello and answer any questions you may have.

"Can we just live here?"

This is an absolutely stunning property and is amazingly appointed and designed. The common area of the house is stunning, cozy, and super functional to host all the guests in a comfortable fashion. The appliances are very upleveled and the kitchen is fully stocked. This place was perfect for adults and kids alike--we only wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful property!

Gorgeous property for a family of all ages

Our family had a wonderful time at this gorgeous property. It provided everything we needed to relax and unwind. And the surrounding area had plenty to offer as well! I would definitely recommend a stay here for a family of all ages.

Great Lake House

We had a great time at this property. It’s very nice both inside and out and a great spot for a family vacation. It’s a quieter neighborhood so if you’re a louder group the chance of a noise complaint is high if you’re outside offer dark. Overall I’d highly recommend the property.

Too little to late.

Imagine booking a lake house 6 months in advance and getting a 2-day notice prior to arriving that your rental was in the middle of a landscaping project. Workers, trucks, dust everywhere including all over our boat, no grass, and an offer from the management company that they would happily reimburse us of all the rental fees if we did not want to stay or a 25% discount if we did. Nice last-minute decision to make. Of course we have friends coming in from out of town, there was no turning back but the notice was absurd. It was explained to me the company felt the 25% was more than generous which after staying the 5 days was not adequate compensation. I reached out to Doughty management again after our stay with no reply. In addition, the neighborhood is very stuffy, renters not really welcome from the interactions we had with the locals. The new fire pit was awesome but we were informed that is not really something the owners want us to use. No wood is provided. Hilarious. 10pm quiet time which we had 4 neighbors call the cops because we were having a conversation around the fire pit. Super fun We enjoyed the house for the most part. Over all mediocre stay

Beautiful home!

We throughly enjoyed our stay! The house was immaculate and had everything we could want. My children (including teens) had a blast with the fusbol & ping pong tables and paddle boards. Beautiful home with every amenity!

We had an amazing trip to Sandpoint and loved the home. We used the kitchen every night and enjoyed coffee in the patio every morning. We brought our 11 month old son and the house had everything we needed (and a lot of what we forgot to pack)! It was beautiful, clean and such a special place. Thank you for a great stay!! My only recommendation is to bring earplugs for the noisy train at nighttime!
