The staff were wonderful truly excellent hospitality from start to finish. The hotel itself was a solid 10/10 in every aspect: service, cleanliness, and overall comfort. The location is unbeatable ,close to everything, especially the train station and the ferry port, which made getting around super easy. Breakfast was a highlight as well, with great options and service running until 10:30. Highly recommend!

This property was good except for the shower. It was 2 feet by 3 feet, very uncomfortable shower. They did not have a better room for us. Ruined the comfort of our stay.

I stayed here with my daughters and the location couldn’t have been better right in the heart of a great shopping area. We were able to walk to both the train station and the ferry terminal, which made exploring the Amalfi Coast incredibly convenient. The room was spacious enough for the three of us and the air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping us comfortable throughout our stay

Great location. Most staff were hood, except for the abrasive woman who handled our initial check-in. She was rude to my wife, basically barking at her in italian for walking on a staircase that ostensibly went to the wrong sdction of the hotel. Polite, courteous communication makes all the difference.

Don’t pass on the food- worth the visit

Right in the center of town Salerno was a stop over to get a train to Bari. A delightful town with a great vibe and excellent food.

Easy walk to Train and Ferry terminals (10mins). Booked superior room and it was spacious, neat and clean rooms. Breakfast is ok, Italians don’t offer good Buffett breakfast options across all hotels….so don’t waste your money on breakfast in Italy. Overall good property and close to lot of dining options.

Hotel Montestella is a solid choice for anyone visiting Salerno. The location is definitely the highlight — it's right on the main pedestrian street, very close to the train station and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. It made getting around super convenient. The hotel itself is clean and modern, with comfortable rooms. Everything was well-kept and functional. While the room wasn't overly luxurious, it had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The staff was polite and professional, and check-in was smooth. They were available to help when needed, although we didn’t have much interaction beyond that. Overall, a good stay — not overly fancy, but comfortable and well-located. I’d recommend it for travelers looking for a practical and reliable place to stay in Salerno.

Receptionist is very attentive and helpful. From train station walk on foot takes 8 mins approximately. Breakfast you can’t compare with hotels in Asia BUT it’s ok.

Great central hotel in Salerno.

Excellent location from railway station & all amenities & places of interest. So easy to use as a base to travel to Popmpei or Paestum or Amalfi coast or even to Rome. Staff, Angela & Danielle were fantastic- so helpful & so friendly. Nice continental breakfast. Nice quite clean room - beds are a little hard if I’m being totally honest. Would definitely stay again & recommend.
