I would have rated it higher, but when we went to check in, we were told they were overbooked, and sent us to the Tryp by Wyndham, which is no where near as nice. We had prepaid and had to go through Expedia to give us a refund for the first 2 nights, which was not a fun process. The 3 nights we did spend at the Hampton were wonderful. Great poolside food, in pool bar, fantastic breakfasts, 24 hour coffee and tea, plus a nightly manager’s free cocktails reception. The birds around the pool can be bothersome when there is food around.

Staff worked very diligently to check us early after a cruise disembarking. We were able to stow our luggage and explore the area while we waited. The Pueblo a huge grocery store gave us a chance to experience and compare shopping between Texas and Puerto Rico. Overall nice location due to nearby restaurants, beach, shopping and proximity to airport.

We did not receive the king room we requested, despite calling to check in with the assistant manager to confirm. We did get a small discount upon checkout. The room we did receive was clean and acceptable. The breakfast was not as good as other locations.

It was walking distance to restaurants. The beach was just across the hotel. Its near the airport. You can hear the plane but cannot see it. It was clean. My husband love the happy hour. I enjoyed the swimming pool. The buffet was very good, they change the menu everyday.

Had to keep asking for towels and we got there after check in time and we had to wait to check in and the washing machine broke whil we were using it…they took our clothes and put them in there industrial washer and drier and they came out extremely wrinkly. Yet they raked on a $45 daily resort fee and it was certainly not a resort.

Room was good. Service was good. Bonus, they have complimentary drinks every afternoon from 5 to 7. Several good restaurants within walking distance. Although close to airport, not really bothered by the noise. Would definitely stay there again.
