Nerita Home on Sanibel Island - Pool/Hot Tub and Walk to Beach

Welcome to our Sanibel Island vacation paradise aptly named the Nerita Home. Our vacation home-away-from-home is one of the more unique homes on the Island. Being located on Nerita Street, it is very private and surrounded by lush vegetation and natural ambiance. You wouldn't even know you're just a few minute walk away from one of the best shelling beaches in the world. Our home is stilted up one floor off the ground level. When you enter the home, you'll notice the open, modern and updated floor plan. We have a spacious living room with wall mounted TV, full kitchen that has been completely updated and has all of the high end appliances, kitchen ware and more, even a kitchenaid blender for the more serious home chefs. The main level features two bedrooms and one bathroom with one bedroom a queen bed and the other two sets of bunk beds. Up the spiral staircase is the spacious master bedroom suite with a king bed and en-suite bathroom. All of our beds have high end mattresses, bedding and bedding furniture to round out the high end, updated and natural appeal. One of the more unique aspects about our home is that there is a "guest pod" separate from the main house complete with it's own air conditioning unit, queen bed, sitting area, mini-kitchen and full bath. Perfect for guests, in-laws or anyone that want a bit more privacy. 

Ready to relax? ... walk down to the private, screened in, heated pool and hot tub. We keep the pool at 86 degrees and the hot tub at 102. Lounge around the pool, play with friends and family and enjoy a cocktail while living the Island lifestyle, if only for a month. We also have an electric bbq grill that uses pellet smoke technology. You just set the temp and it does the rest.  Once you experience our Nerita Home you won't want to stay anywhere else. Book your next Sanibel Island vacation today!

This would be a great house if it actually looked like the pictures advertised. The issues we had were also reported by the review for the March renters. So the owners and company knew but didn’t change anything.The big issues1. A large Christmas tree in a bag in the middle of the casita, along with a lot of baby toys. We called and someone came and moved the tree, but as stated they knew this issue for over a month.2. Several lights were not working, along the outside deck, by the spiral staircase, kitchen, etc3. The spa and pool lights and fountains were not working. We messaged and called several times. After 10 days or so, we gave up.4. This house needs a good cleaning! Dust, dirt, cobwebs, debris all throughout the house. Old shoes, dead plants, broken pool toys, etc. I cleaned the walls in the bathroom.5. The grill is not gas, as advertised . It's a nice green egg charcoal grill, however when just two of us were there, it was too much of a hassle to fire it up.We enjoyed our time there with family. We worked around the issues. The location was great, just down the street from the beach we always use. The casita was perfect for our newlywed couple, after we cleared things.This would be a good place, could be great with some TLC.

Overall a great month at this property. Great location and wonderful curb appeal with this home. The rooms and overall living space feels smaller than the listing pictures. The Casita is being used to store owners items such as a Christmas tree etc. If the property is being advertised as a 4 bedroom home it should be treated as such. In the listing the outdoor grill is listed as a pellet grill. It is not. It is a high end charcoal grill. A bit of an inconvenience. We enjoyed our stay her and with some attention to detail it could be better a storage as

Wonderful time at Nerita

Our family had a wonderful time at the Nerita house. Great layout for us and perfect office space for hubby to work also. Stocked with most items we needed and management company very helpful. Would definitely stay again!
