I usually travel to Saugatuck with just 2, but we brought family this time and needed a bigger space. This home was perfect! One family had the upper level, and the other had the lower level. The living space in the middle was beautiful, and the coffee, kitchen supplies, and soaps were gracious. The location was on the edge of the downtown area, so super convenient but also quiet. Iâd stay here again with a group!
The home was beautiful, furnishings were awesome and kitchen set up was great. The only ding was the fireplace did not function and the internet was confusing. The message said it should work with the butler network but it turned out to be the Overlook network was the correct choice.
The Overlook is nearly perfect! The location is ideal, just steps from the Kalamazoo River and downtown Saugatuck. It is only a ten minute car ride to Oval Beach or the state park from this location as well. My husband was able to easily access the local bike path from this property as well. We stayed with our young adult children ages 18-21 and used all the bedding options, including the pull out couch. Every one said their bed and pillows were so comfortable. Personally, I can only speak for the king bed, which I found to be exceptionally comfortable. There are a lot of thoughtful inclusions that make this place truly special! There is delicious local coffee and tea options stocked for the perfect start to your day-I cooked entire meals easily as there was a laminated floor plan of the kitchen and its contents! This made finding utensils, dishes, potholders etc simple. The home was very clean as well. There are no televisions except in the living room, which I felt was perfect, as family time was the purpose of our trip. The ONLY negative thing I can say is that there are no ceiling fans in any bedroom. The condo is three stories which made the bottom floor very chilly while top floor still stayed quite warm. To be fair, we stayed during a 90 heat wave. We just purchased a box fan help move air up to the third floor, where the two bedrooms were located. I would suggest bringing fans if you are staying at this property in the summer.
