Family Tides is a uniquely beautiful retreat. Open living-dining area features dining for 10, plus a cozy breakfast nook and wine coolers. What a fantastic place! Perfect location-- just a few minutes walk to the beach, also close to Portland and an easy drive to stores and shops. Plenty of rooms and beds for the 9 of us; a great kitchen for all the cooking and baking we did (2 chefs among us, very pleased with the kitchen); and a fabulous living space for chilling and playing games. Checking in and out was simple and convenient. Highly recommend this place!

Incredible house and location

Our family of 14 (7 adults and 7 kids from 1-9yrs) had a perfect week at Family Tides! We loved the one-block walk to the uncrowded and beautiful beach, with many beach chairs provided by the host (although be aware, no beach towels were provided and there’s no outdoor shower to rinse off). The large house itself is spectacular, exceptionally well-designed and decorated, comfortable and clean, with flexible spaces for all ages and a very large open great room with plenty of dining and relaxing space. The amazing kitchen (2 dishwashers, six-burner gas stove) and the walk-in pantry were very well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals for our large group. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxed, easy to take walks or go for a run. We really enjoyed being near several dining and activity options, and especially liked the short easy drive to unique Old Orchard Beach fun! We would definitely return to stay again at this special property.

Beach Paradise

Our family stayed in August and really enjoyed the beach as well as the large well appointed home. The large open kitchen/family room was a dream for hosting a lobster boil. The beach is only one block across the street.

Large Family Vacation

There were 7 adults and 7 kids ranging from 10-20yrs. There was plenty of room. The house was extremely well stocked in the kitchen. The appliances were phenomenal. Our only complaint was that the AC was not what we are used too. The outside temp was in the 80’s and the AC could not keep up. The fix was to open a few of the many windows and that cross breeze made everything great!! Overall a wonderful place and we would definitely rent here again.

Perfect house!

We loved this house so much! Seriously, the pictures don’t do it justice. The beach is right across the street. You walk across a small street to the path and there you are. They even had beach chairs for us to use, which we so much appreciated. The house had plenty of room to spread out. The backyard was beautiful and the seating was comfortable. There is a Big bunk room upstairs with a large television and bunkbeds and a Comfortable couch. The kids loved hanging out up there, but the adults did too. There is also a large living room, open with the kitchen and dining area with a large television. All of the TVs are smart TVs. The drawers are packed with games and puzzle. The kitchen had everything that we needed for family Meal preparation. There are two dishwashers, and a huge refrigerator/freezer. The beach across from the house is not crowded. The public parking for the beach is down the street, so most of the crowds are down about a mile or so. The house is close to old Orchard Beach, with lots of restaurants and shopping. There are also a couple of restaurants within walking distance, about a mile or so. Walmart plus delivers so we did not even have to go to the grocery store. Bring your beach towels, but there are two sets of washer and dryers, one upstairs and one downstairs. Doing laundry is no problem. The management company was quick to respond with any questions that we had. Our family had a great time and we cannot wait to go back!

A great week!

We just returned from a great stay at Family Tides! There were 14 of us total (6 adults, 8 kids) and the house accommodated us all very comfortably. Lots of amenities - a well-stocked kitchen, Sonos, wifi, streaming capable TVs. The walk to the beach was very short - so short people could go back and forth to use the bathroom or retrieve forgotten items easily. It was close enough to Old Orchard beach to head down for the arcade/amusement park, but far enough from Old Orchard beach to escape the chaos! The beach was great too - pretty good waves but safe enough for our little ones. We will definitely consider staying at Family Tides again if we return to the Old Orchard area. Thanks for a great week!

Pine Point Getaway

Beautiful house, awesome location !!! We had a great time despite the weather ! Beach is easily accessible and walking distance to food ! I would highly recommend this location to families wanting a beach vacation and friends planning a getaway ! Plenty of space for sleeping and great kitchen ! Will definitely go back !!!

Perfect for families

Spacious, impeccably decorated with many amenities. Comfortable patio for evening drinks and morning patio. I counted 140 steps to the beach which was super. Soft sand great for the little ones. Only thing missing is an outdoor shower. :) Would love to come back in the future

Issue with internet password should have been resolved more easily. House needs garbage disposal. Also stronger water pressure in showers. Why did we have to remove garbage? Shouldn’t cleaning crew handle?

An entertainers dream house

Hosted my family of 12. The place has everything you could want and more. Fully equipped kitchen to host a crowd, excellent living space indoor and out. Great setup for the kids, the room is huge and gives them their own space, plus a play room on the 3rd floor for all ages! Nice touches like Sonos, smart tvs, beach gear. Thanks to the owners for sharing such a special place!
