Our travel plans changed last minute and we were glad to find this place to stay that was convenient to so much we wanted to do in the UP. It was just a few minutes to groceries and restaurants and also provided us with great access to the National Lakeshore. The property is huge with lots of space for the dogs and privacy. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. Thank you for letting us use your home!
We had a great time visiting family for the 4th and would recommend the property to anyone! Check in was easy and the place was in close proximity to town and all the 4th of July festivities. The place also had enough space for all of us and we really enjoyed our stay.
Property showed photos of outdoor furniture that wasnât available upon arrival. House smelled wet towards the middle of our stay. There seems to be an issue with the exhaust on the hot water heater creating a sound that sounded like fire works going off all night. The dishwasher didnât work upon arrival so the dishes inside were dirty. We finally found the breaker box and reset the breaker to get it to work. The inside of the house seemed to be infested with mosquitoes and we were bit all night long in our sleep. The couch should be retired. Two of the seats are like sitting directly on the floor. For the cost of this place I would have thought it would be of nicer quality.
We really enjoyed this house. Very warm and inviting. Close to the hiking and kayaking we planned. Kitchen had all the tools we needed for some great meals. Definately recommend
This place is fantastic! Clean and very spacious, peaceful and quiet location while still close to town and attractions, and the kids loved it too! Will definitely be staying again next time we come up north!
We stayed for four nights and our stay was exceptional! The pictures in the description do not do it justice. It is bigger brighter newer and nicer than it appears. Everything you need is there, icemaker, curling Iron, blow dryer, bedding, towels, dishwasher, washer and dryer, coffee maker, coffee filters, soap. Though it is not desolate, you feel as though it is. No neighbors in sight, very quiet and peaceful. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes from town. It has a Fire pit with plenty of chairs, small patio with gas grill and round picnic table. Two car attached garage with mudroom between the garage and the house. The only negative I could see was the garage could use a little tidying though there's plenty of room for two cars. And the coffee pot is slow as molasses! 5stars!
This house comfortably accommodated our multi generational family vacation. It was close to the trails in the Hiawatha Forest for our off road adventures and close to the highway for our tourist adventures. The yard was large as was the fire pit with enough chairs for us all to gather. The indoor space was large and open allowing us plenty of room to visit and dine. The mudroom was a great place to drop our gear so we didn't bring the outdoors in. My favorite part was the large dining room table that allowed us all to dine and play games together.Overall we had a fantastic family vacation and would definitely rent here again.
Enjoyed our stay, could use a little updated appliances, coffee maker would brew for about 2-3 hrs for 1 pot, none of the lights worked around the stove or oven so had to cook in the dark.
This house has a lot of room which was great for our multiple families meeting over the 4th weekend to visit Pictured Rocks. House is about about 15 mins outside of town but easy to find with a large private yard. There isnât a grill as listed though. After a day of hiking we planned to grill burgers and hotdogs only to get back to the house and find there was no grill. Main Street Pizza in Munising is good though.
The place was perfect for snowmobiling. Unfortunately winter decided not to fully participate. Would definitely stay again plenty of room good parking close to trails.
Property was just as described in the listing. Carole was extremely helpful during our stay. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Access to the trail was drawn on a chalkboard in the laundry room... very easy to follow. We made all of our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed! Garage was great for sleds. We hope to be back next winter!
