Nestled just two blocks from Oak Street Beach, this charming 2-story Cape Cod-style home offers a perfect blend of comfort, relaxation, and beachside beauty. With a large front porch that invites you to unwind, you'll feel at ease the moment you arrive.

Inside the Home:
Step into the open-concept main floor, featuring a fully stocked kitchen, spacious living room, and a large dining area perfect for family meals. The kitchen comes equipped with all the essentials—pots, pans, dishes, and utensils—while the handmade dining table comfortably seats 7. Additional seating is available at the kitchen counter.
A sliding patio door off the kitchen opens to a gorgeous screened-in porch with two ceiling fans, perfect for dining alfresco or simply relaxing. In the cooler months, gather around the wood-burning fireplace in the living room for cozy evenings spent playing games or working on puzzles.

South Haven MI vacation home

On line search via VRBO was easy and the information provided was complete and accurate. The house was very clean, nicely furnished, kitchen was fully equipped, beach chairs and kids sand toys provided, kids coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, books and games were an unexpected great surprise. Location was about a 10 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk to downtown. We were very pleased!

A Perfect Location and Beautiful Home!

We travel from Connecticut to South Haven two weeks out of the summer. As we are originally from MI, we look forward to our Michigan families taking turns staying with us and having fun at the Lake. This property was a perfect location, was well-equipped, and had the space to accommodate all of our needs! We loved our two weeks on Oak Street Beach and in South Haven! Shower head in bath was loose and squirted water all over the bathroom and my dress clothes. I had to wipe down the whole room and ceiling. Big stain on bedroom carpet.Asked a little extra time on the 10 am checkout and was told "sure. For 75 an hour. I'm sure it must be in the fine print somewhere but not the sort of response that supports customer loyalty.

The house itself was nice, clean, well-maintained and in a great location within walking distance of the lake. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the heating system was broken during our visit and would not turn on. With temperatures dropping to 45F, the house became cold, making it harder to enjoy our time indoors.We contacted the host immediately about the issue. While they responded, they were unwilling to come and fix the furnace during our stay. Instead, they dropped off a single space heater for my elderly mother’s room but provided nothing for my children or the rest of the house. This was completely inadequate and a major disappointment, especially given that reliable heating is a basic expectation for any rental.Because of this, our stay was less enjoyable than it should have been. I recommend confirming with the host that the heating system is fully functional before booking, especially during cooler months.

Loved Tranquility House!

We had a great stay! It was my husband, me, our son and daughter in law and their 3 daughters. We had a great time!…… just a few things…… there was no extra toilet paper, paper towels, soap in the bathrooms in the pump bottles were almost with no backups for those. There were about 25 napkins with no backup pkgs. It was advertised as a fully stocked kitchen but we had to buy these items for ourselves. Also, one of the kitchen chairs was broken …. The legs were held on with large screws and bolts….. one of the legs had no bolts to hold the leg on! My husband sat on the chair the last day and it collapsed under him ( and he’s not a big guy). He is ok but it would be a safety concern and should be fixed before the next renters get there. Otherwise, the house was great, grill worked fine, LOTS of beach toys and big wagons to take everything to the beach!! Overall, except for the items above, it was great!!!!

We had a great week staying at this property. It is on a quiet street only a couple of blocks from Oak Street beach. It has everything you need to cook in the home or is close enough to walk to restaurants in town. We will be back!

Worked great for our family. Loved the porch in the back of the house. It got a lot of use. The fire pit was a hit too. The house was very clean and functional. Easy walk to downtown and Oak Street beach. The chairs were great! Hope we can come back again!

Great house and even better location.

We booked this house for a girls trip of 5 of us. It was on a quiet street with about a 2 block walk to the beach and about 15 minute to town. Spacious home with plenty of beds and space. We loved the fire pit and all of the beach chairs that were available to use.
