1880 Victorian In Heart of Downtown
Best of both worlds with upscale renovations and old St Augustine charm. This Victorian home was built in 1880 and is located within the heart of the Historic District. A few years ago, I fully renovated the private residence into 3 separate apartments, each fully contained with its own private entrance, kitchen and full bath. This newly renovated third floor apartment has 1 queen bed in a private bedroom along with a sectional couch in the living room. Bikes offer you the opportunity to leave the car parked and see the city by walking or riding. Bikes are available from a bike share rack one block away and a great alternative for transportation around the city.
Enjoy the many restaurants to choose from all within a five minute walk from your front door. Additionally, the shopping and sightseeing is just around the corner. Plan to spend the day sightseeing and walk back to unwind on the front porch with glass of wine before getting ready for the evening fun.
If you've come to enjoy St Augustine's beautiful beaches you're only a ten minute drive away. Crescent Beach lies to the south a few miles for those looking to relax on a quiet beach, or join the crowds on St. Augustine Beach with a fishing pier and many great restaurant options.
Overall, this property is a great value and the perfect location to spend your vacation. Hope to see you soon!
3rd floor perfect location for a quick dinner stop
Very clean, adequately supplied with coffee/creamer and kitchen supplies. Linens were nice. The bed was extremely soft (in the middle mostly) so we didnât sleep much but we were only there for one overnight/quick dinner. Next time weâll book a lower floor (hopefully different bed) as we donât remember reading we would need to carry luggage up 3 flights. We probably missed that and it seemed parking was closer than we discovered. Not a bad walk if the weather is nice but if itâs raining, youâll want to understand parking is not exactly on the same street; itâs about 5 streets away. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. We came for dinner at Columbia restaurant, about 2 streets away (highly recommend)! Very nice little coffee shop next to location. This is in the historic district. Great location.
Will be staying here again. Good to know that you can pay to park overnight at the lot down the street for 10/night. The parking attendants know the owners and allow overnight parking. Just make sure you check with the parking attendants so they know your car. Beautiful house within walking distance to almost everything.
We loved St Augustine and this location was absolutely perfect. In the heart of the historic district, we had easy access to everything we wanted or needed. The third floor walk up would have been easier if I hadnât rolled my ankle the week before we started our travels - be aware that this unit is at the top of an old fashioned stair case. We originally thought weâd use the rollaway (and it was made available) but wound up making the couch up for my son to sleep on (heâs in college and easy going about these things). Gregory was easy to work with and responsive and I appreciated that the checkout requests were limited and easy. Absolutely would stay again.
We spent our honeymoon in St. Augustine 20 years ago, this house was perfect place to celebrate our life together. Absolutely gorgeous loft, perfect location, clese to everything that we wanted to do while here. Highly recommend. 5-Stars
This property was right in the middle of everything we wanted to see! Very clean, comfortable and equipped with anything needed to keep us comfortable. Perfect! We will be back!
Great job on the modern interior updating. Loved this place out of my entire short vacation with my husband for my birthday. It was nice to people watch on the balcony and sip coffee/wine. Recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St Augustine in the heart of the Historic District. The owner was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. Restaurants and shopping was literally a short walk. We parked and did not need the car until the day we left. Awesome location and April weather was perfect for us
Very clean with all the comforts of home. Easy walk to all attractions in old town. Greg (host) was very informative and quick to respond. . Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.
The unit itself was fine although it could use some cosmetic upgrades. And they leave you a home medics noise machine to help drown out the evening and morning noise.
My husband was concerned by the outside appearance of the house, but inside it was spotless and comfortable. The bed was a bit softer than what we use, but we slept well.Expect music at night- not all night, but probably from 10-11 PM. It was worth it to stay right in town.We expected to find bicycles- but didnât see any. Maybe one needs to contact the owner for the bikes? We would definitely stay there again.
We were in town for the Celtic festival and this was a perfect accommodation. 3 blocks from the festival and close to all the bars and restaurants . Cute space with a little bistro balcony, perfect for people watching!
I booked this for a surprise birthday gift for my wife. Even though we've lived in Florida for 6 years and visited many times before that. The first impression wasn't good -- the house could really use an exterior paint job. But inside it's immaculate. You could not ask for a better location to visit the old city. Plenty of room for two people and the small balcony was a nice extra.
The place was perfect for my wife and I for a weekend get away! It is in the middle of everything happening downtown and is in walking distance to anything youâd want to do. The place had all the essentials covered and met all our needs. It can be louder at night and early morning - but we knew that going in an brought a sound ma ch one and did just fine
This was a perfect spot for discovering St Augustine! Local to everything we parked the car and walked everywhere (except the beach). Gregory was so accommodating with checkin, restaurant recommendations- just everything. Highly recommend!!
