Avis pour Cozy Courtyard Stay with Firepit* and Fenced Yard
We had a wonderful stay at this property and would gladly return. The location is excellentâjust a short walk to the beach. While you canât see the ocean directly from the unit we were in, the beach itself is beautiful and easy to access once youâre there.Finding the driveway the first time can be a little tricky, as it sits right by a traffic light intersection, but once you know where it is, coming and going is simple. The property is also well-situated for exploring the area. The islandâs local restaurants tend to close earlier in the evening, so itâs worth planning ahead if you prefer later dinners. That said, itâs only a short drive into downtown St. Augustine, which is vibrant and full of great food and things to do. We especially enjoyed River & Fort and Nonnaâs Trattoria on the iconic Aviles Street. The hosts were outstanding. We experienced an unexpected weather-related power outage for about a day and a half, but the local team handled it exceptionally well. They communicated clearly, set proper expectations, and kept an open line of contact throughout. Most importantly, they were fair, hospitable, and genuinely focused on making things right every step of the way.Overall, this is a great place to stay for those in a smaller group and especially if you are going to be out more than you will be in. With responsive, caring hosts and a fantastic location for enjoying both the beach and historic St. Augustine.
The place was very clean. Itâs a very good location, but we did have issues with the garbage pick up. The cans were not where they normally should be and thereâs a very bad leak in the kitchen. The backsplash is already soggy from so much water that needs to be repaired as soon as possible for future guests.
Nice location but didn't realize it was just a small portion of the house. We faced the street and not the ocean. Unit needs updating overall, bath tub/shower was very old with shotty old fixtures, neglected furnace filter was plugged leaving the AC to scream. The cheap lights bulbs are horrible color, and makes it feel like an institution. I will likely just stay at a hotel next time. Yes it was nice, but you could feel the lack of attention paid to the unit.
Very relaxing made to order for us. The privacy and beach access also excellent. We hope to return in February for our 38th anniversary. The dates are Feb. 09 - 14th. Could you please let us know if those dates are available and if we qualify for a discount. Thank you
They were awesome about letting us check in early. But if you believe and cleanliness this is not the place for you! We literally stayed in unit for 10 minutes doing our routine (checking of overall cleanliness and mainly the linens) linens were soiled and had all kinds of stains on them along with a lot of pet hair. Shower has mold smell coming out from it and cleaners didnât even bother sweeping floors some womanâs fake eyelashes were left behind bathtub was also filthy! I wouldnât allow my dog to stay in that unit. We left after we called host and they essentially said they had no clean units to switch us to. We ultimately found a clean hotel in walking distance and stayed there for our trip instead. Host also does not want to issue a refund knowing unit was dirty and we werenât able to stay there. I had to give zero stars!
Cozy property, excellent location. Could use some minor repairs around property and some landscaping maintenance. Also, better comunication between the host and guests regarding landscaping crew working on property during stay.
Great place where you can walk to everything including the beach and coffee shop. The house was a great spot for relaxing to take a break from the sun with the kids. The beach is a quick walk which makes bathroom runs easy. The bathroom could use a bit of a cleaning as it was a little dirty when we arrived and the shower didn't have anywhere to put your stuff. But that wouldn't stop me from coming again.
Had the best week at this little beach house. The perfect location - tucked away from the main downtown area so no local traffic noise, and just a few steps to the beach. The hose outside was very handy to rinse me and the dogs off before entering the house from the beach.Communication was top notch. Had a few issues with the smoke detector and AC but both were handled within the hour. Will definitely book again.
I enjoyed staying here. If I could make one suggestion it would be to cut back the bushes near the fire pit. It was well overgrown and I saw two snakes. It's a bigger concern for me with a dog.
We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to the beach was fantastic. The rental companyâs communication was excellent. We traveled with our 2 Labrador Retrievers who love the beach. The courtyard was wonderful. Great location. The unit was quite small even for just 2 people and 2 dogs but overall a good experience.
We had a very enjoyable trip. The property management company made everything a breeze. We needed to extend one day last minute and it was very smooth and taken care of in minutes. Would highly recommend.
