Skylight Barn Retreat w/ Hot Tub Near Highland

Nestled among the trees in the heart of New Hampshire, The Skylight Barn offers a unique retreat where rustic charm meets modern comfort. This beautifully renovated barn loft is the perfect home base for couples, small families, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone looking to explore the Lakes Region and White Mountains while enjoying a peaceful setting away from the crowds.

Wake up to natural light streaming through the skylights, brew your morning coffee, and plan a day of adventure. Spend your afternoons mountain biking at Highland Mountain Bike Park, relaxing by Lake Winnisquam, exploring Lake Winnipesaukee, hiking scenic mountain trails, or discovering local attractions throughout the region. After a day outdoors, return to your private retreat and soak in the year-round hot tub beneath the stars.

Inside, the spacious open-concept loft features vaulted ceilings, warm wood accents, a fully equipped kitchen, high-speed Wi-Fi, Smart TV, and a luxurious king bed with premium linens that guests consistently rave about. The space is thoughtfully designed to feel both cozy and open, making it easy to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy quality time together.

The location offers the best of both worlds—peaceful and private, yet only minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and shopping in Tilton. You'll also be within easy driving distance of Gunstock Mountain Resort, Castle in the Clouds, Funspot, the White Mountains, and countless lakes, trails, and scenic drives.

Guests love the exceptional comfort, spotless cleanliness, private hot tub, and convenient access to everything New Hampshire has to offer. Whether you're visiting for a romantic getaway, family adventure, fall foliage trip, ski weekend, or summer lake vacation, The Skylight Barn provides a memorable and relaxing escape in every season.

Please note that this is a converted barn loft with charming rustic features. The center beam and shower curtain rod are approximately 5.5 feet high, so taller guests should be mindful when moving through those areas.

While the property feels secluded and surrounded by nature, some guests may notice light highway noise when outdoors due to the convenient proximity to Interstate 93.

The property is comfortable and is in a convenient location and air-conditioning was wonderful. Host was very helpful. I did not like the hum of traffic and skylights were nice in the day but very bright in the morning if you wanted to sleep in.

My stay.

Excellent place to stay. Girlfriend and I wanted a place to get away from the city for a weekend and this was it. It has everything you need plus the quiet you came for. Would recommend to anyone thinking about booking a stay.

Very nice and clean property! Had everything we needed, and a lot of little details were present that made our stay exemplary. The location is just perfect and makes you feel away from it all while providing easy access to whatever you may need. Also, highly recommend the pizza place in downtown Tilton.

Great stay!

Everything was great about this stay. Very clean place set off the road a little but only a few minutes from all the shops. Stairs and everything were shoveled and salted when we got there and there was more close by if we needed it. Left during a snow storm and the host was very nice and plowing the road which helped a lot. Definitely going to be staying here again!

Spacious but cozy, comfy bed, and fabulous shower! Space was very clean and well appointed. Location is convenient to everything. Gave 4 stars on location due to road noise from nearby highway...not bad but noticeable. Would stay here again!

Cute, clean apartment

We had a great stay. The apartment was clean, bright, private, and really cute! There's plenty of room for cooking and eating. The fridge is a little small, but we had a spare cooler to keep most of our stuff in. The skylights let in so much natural light! Highly recommended!

Peaceful Retreat

We enjoyed our stay here. It is located near a highway, but inside the cabin you don't hear much of anything. The bed was comfy and the kitchen served our needs. The bathroom was nice. The A/C worked well. The owner was very responsive and pleasant. No complaints :)

Highland Mountain Homebase

Had a great stay as it made the perfect homebase for several days at Highland Mountain. Very comfortable and it had everything I needed. The AC was very much appreciated. You get some road noise from 93, but it's nothing a little while noise can't cancel out. It's a private setting, but only a few minutes from downtown Tilton. I would absolutely stay here again!
