First time visiting Japan and the b Akasaka did not disappoint. Got slippers and a robe with free breakfast vouchers. Staff was very nice and we enjoyed the convenience of having train stations within walking distance.

There was a lot mold (looks like black mold) on the ceiling of the bathroom around the shower. I reported the mold issue to the front desk and asked for a new room without mold. The front desk told me every room had this mold issue and would not offer me a new room. I would recommend to others to avoid this hotel if you do not want to be exposed to mold.

The hotel staff are kind and nice. We got free breakfast every morning while we were there. The room is generously big for a Tokyo hotel. The hotel itself is further away from the popular subway lines. There is a big hill you’d have to walk up to the hotel, so I don’t think it’s easily accessible for everyone. Our hotel room smelled really bad in the washroom like the toilet, sink, and shower was plugged. The floors felt dirty so we made sure to wear our slippers the hotel gave us. There is laundry in the hotel. I would not stay again.

The location is excellent close to the subway and within easy reach of restaurants, shops, and attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. I also appreciated the quiet and relaxing atmosphere after busy days exploring Tokyo. Overall, Hotel B Akasaka is a great choice for both convenience and comfort. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

Rooms are small, and the two twin sized beds are not ideal for a family with small children. There is a small elevator through the TBS buildings that leads you close to the hotel, much easier to get to instead of dragging your luggage up the hill.

Misinformation

Hotel stay was good. When asked, the hotel front desk said it would cost 8000-9000yen to Narita airport by taxi and called us a taxi. We didn't confirm rate with the taxi driver trusting the hotel staff. It ended up 30000yen for taxi and the driver made us to pay it(around $230 usd).
