Loved this hot. Very old, but nice. Staff all were amazing. Good breakfast. Great central location. Bathroom in the room and the shower was actually a good size for Europe. We liked how they kept our room key each time we left so we never had to worry about losing it and it’s comforting knowing that reception is there 24 hours

Pros: in San Marco, close to St Marks Square as well as many shopping and dining options. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included with several food options. Coffee was excellent. Rooms are comfortable and have great AC. We were able to store our luggage there before check in. We felt very safe. Cons: no elevator and lots of stairs. Many hotels in Venice don’t have elevators, so would make that and criteria for future travel there. Although rooms are comfortable, they are small.

Because of the maize of walkways in Venice, I attempted to reach the hotel between 5:30 and 9:00 (It was getting dark and unsafe for a 77 to be searching for a hotel. I went bcack to the Airport that night and waited. Given my efforts, I would appreciate a refund

The location was fantastic—within walking distance to most major sights, making it easy to explore the city. It was also very convenient to get to and from the airport using the water bus. However, the rooms were quite dated and could really use some updating to match the overall charm of the surroundings.

The rooms are small and inconvenient, as can be expected in Venice. Do not spend extra money on room upgrades as the terrace rooms have no view. The breakfast was abysmal and there's no coffee in the rooms, only tea.

This was a great hotel for the following reasons: 1) Location. It is located a few minutes' walk from the Rialto Bridge, so it is easy access to the Rialto Bridge, Aliaguna motorboat stop, restaurants, etc. Once you exit at the Rialto motorboat stop, find your way to Campo Manin area with the statute of Daniel Manin with a lion, and on side of the square with the kebab and gelato store you will see a small alley where you will find the Hotel Centauro; 2) The hotel is quiet and clean, and the rooms are decorated as described on the website. I had hope to get a room with a canal view, but they were all sold out. However, I did have a spacious room with a balcony with lovely flowers, a table and chairs to sit outside. I did not see an elevator in the hotel, so if this is a concern, please inquire before you book; 3) The hotel's breakfast was great. A very nice selection of pastries, cakes, hard-boiled eggs, cold meats and cheese, bread, cereal, and a nice selection of tea, coffee, or you can request a cappuccino. The breakfast room is on the first floor of the hotel, and you can step out on its balcony to get a nice view of the canal and buildings surrounding the hotel; and 4) The staff is friendly and helpful. They were patient with my limited Italian, helped with directions, and allowed me to borrow an adapter when my universal adapter did not have the correct connection. The front desk is manned 24-hours which is very helpful. Overall, a great hotel.
