6-Bedroom Mountain Estate

Summer and high season in the winter, we are accepting Saturday to Saturday reservations only please. Exceptions to this are January 14-24th, February 21-25th, 2026 is available for 4 nights and March 1-7th is available for 6 nights.

Step into one of the most beautiful mountain settings that you can imagine. The views of Whitefish Lake from the house, or the hot tub located on the expansive wrap-around deck, are truly second to none. In the winter, the community has its own private ski lift that will deliver you right to the slopes of Whitefish Mountain Resort and a groomed ski trail is located just outside the back door.

The house features six bedrooms, including a handcrafted, 6-bed bunk room for the kids, and 7 bathrooms. The master suite includes a fireplace and private deck, as well as a beautifully designed office.... just in case work interferes with your vacation. The lower floor family room includes 10 ft ceilings, a big screen TV, a pool table, and ping pong to ensure hours of nightly fun. The house also has a brand-new gym with elliptical, full functional trainer, bench and free weights. The two upper-level bedrooms each have private balconies with views of the lake, as well as private ensuite baths.

The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and features a Wolf stove, Subzero refrigerator, and a large island for entertaining. The kitchen flows into the formal dining room and living room with 25' vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling natural stone fireplace. Both rooms offer truly breathtaking views of the lake and the mountains beyond. Mr coffee and k-cup style coffee makers. There are a crock pot and a pack n play for guests to use.

Like most locations on the ski hill, the ski in and ski out access is snow dependent. Sometimes in the very early or late stages of the ski season, the ski access will be unavailable. In these cases, the subdivision provides a private shuttle from the house to the lifts and back.

During the summer months, you will be perfectly situated between Whitefish Lake, and the hiking, biking and kid's activities that Whitefish Mountain Resort provides. Alternatively, guests are close to an abundance of local golf courses or can travel to the nearby, world-renowned Glacier Park. Each day is a new adventure!

Absolutely no partying or any loud noise / music. We have $1000 first time noise complaint violations. Double that for a second violation and immediate eviction applies.

Family vacation in Montana

This property far exceeded my expectations—by a wide margin. The photos simply don’t do it justice. The views are breathtaking, especially at sunset, when the sky and mountains transform into a canvas of shifting hues and colors.The home is incredibly spacious, with thoughtful separation between bedrooms that offers plenty of privacy. There are generous common areas for gathering, as well as quiet nooks for anyone seeking solitude.A highlight of our stay was the July 4th fireworks. From the balcony, we had a panoramic view of displays across the entire valley—even as far as Kalispell. Thanks to the home’s elevation—about 1,800 feet above Whitefish Lake—we enjoyed a truly unique vantage point for the town of Whitefish’s fireworks show.Stumptown Vacation Rentals was a pleasure to work with: responsive, professional, and easy to reach throughout our stay.

Three generation family get together

The house was perfect for our 10 adults and two toddlers. Location was ideal for access to whitefish and Glacier. The house had everything we needed. The views from the deck were fabulous! We had a storm roll in one night that was fun to watch, but we were thankful for the emergency generator that kicked on immediately and powered the whole house.

Amazing place!

This has to be one of the best properties we’ve ever stayed at. Everything that you read and the photos that you see are true and fair. The property managers are fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I would not hesitate to book this property if you’re able to we will certainly be coming back.

Whitefish January 2024

Absolutely incredible. The home is gorgeous and was spotless when we arrived. The pictures definitely do not do it justice, neither the home nor the views. The views of the surround area are out of this world. The home was well stocked in regards to everything, both kitchen and otherwise. Communication by and with the management team was easy and everyone was very helpful. We had a few minor issues arise like plumbing etc and the team was quickly responsive and supportive. The ski in ski out was a bit of a challenge, weather/snow level/grooming dependent, but when optimal, is easy and great. Overall, highly recommend. Top notch in every way; we look forward to staying again in the future to go skiing in the winter and to go hiking and explore Glacier more in warmer months.

Exceeded our expectations!

We found this property at the last minute for our family vacation, and we were all so impressed! The pictures listed for the property truly represented the home. We had 7 adults and one child, and felt like we had plenty of room to spread out. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms had a lot of great amenities. We used the outdoor dining everyday, and enjoyed the scenery and the quietness! We had great views of the lake and valley, and enjoyed the hot tub as well! Our grown up kids really enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table, and the workout room was awesome! This was our first time to Whitefish, and everything exceeded our expectations. We golfed, went to Glacier National Park, shopped and dined in Whitefish, went horse back riding and some days just enjoyed being at the home. This was the perfect vacation for all of us, and I will definitely come back. The home was just spectacular and was well equipped with just about everything you need. The kitchen was great - we all loved cooking in the kitchen! The check in process was great, and the property manager was very helpful and available if we needed anything. Overall, we were very impressed and so gracious that we could stay at this property. We all want to come back! Thank you for a great stay!

Just Lovely!

This is a beautiful property and our family enjoyed our stay immensely! Management was friendly and helpful addressing our questions promptly. Views - hard to leave them! So exquisite at sunrise and dusk. Great location for all mountain activities! And easy access to town. House met all our family needs and the downstairs play room hosted some great family ping pong matches! Did I mention the lovely balcony? Dining, bbq, and fire pit s’mores!

Great Family Getaway

Our whole family enjoyed a week in this lovely home with spectacular views. We spent a few days exploring Glacier but also enjoyed the local area visiting farmer's markets, mini-golf, regular golf, cycling, the cute town, and the amenities at the ski area base. Beautiful house

Lovely house with excellent views, comfortable and expansive seating (including a dining table, easily adequate for 10-12, and two "living rooms"), well-equipped kitchen (would be nice to include a knife sharpening tool). The lift that serves the home shut down the day we arrived--it would be better advertising to make it clear that that's a possibility, because without it one is dependent on a shuttle or private car. Managing the heating is a bit of a challenge: if it's chilly on the main floor, it may be too warm upstairs. Still we thoroughly enjoyed the week--as comfortable as this large family group has ever been.

Truly amazing home

Wow! This home was obviously completely renovated and the architecture modernized very recently. Plenty of space and everything you need is there. The view out the back will blow you away. We did experience an unusual heavy snow storm during our June stay, which negatively affected our hiking and outdoor plans, but it provided another amazing view from the house.

When we pulled into the Elk Highlands neighborhood and were greeted by black-tailed mule deer lazily feeding along the road and finally turned into the driveway of this home, straight out of a luxury mountain home magazine, we knew that we had rented something completely unique and special. After a brief orientation by the property manager, we simply stopped and stared at the expansive view of mountain ranges, peaks, and lakes. We spent countless hours simply lounging in the hot tub (during a snow storm) or relaxing by the fire pit (on milder, sunnier days and snowy colder days, alike) watching a Bald Eagle circle above more deer literally napping in the yard. The occasional train snaked its way along the lake and through the valley, providing an aerial perspective that was fascinating to watch and an echoing train whistle that was ghostly to hear. The abundant kitchen (with double dishwashers) was stocked with everything needed to cook French one evening and everything we could grill for a meat coma another evening. While some of us took advantage of a really nice gym (so I hear), others played pool, ping pong, or sat by one of several fireplaces. There was everything you needed to enjoy the company of all, and plenty of room to escape it. I simply cannot reiterate how much better this home and its views appear in person. Do not miss out on staying here!

Incredible!

The property was immaculate. We were in a private oasis of Montana bliss. With 3 children ranging from ages 1 to 5 and 6 adults, the property felt like a magical palace for all of us. From simple custom touches to luxury finishes, our accommodations did not disappoint. The fully stocked kitchen was complete with every thing you might need from a wok to a baking and cupcake pans. A short trip to the local Safeway was welcome because everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We will be back for more Montana fun! PS - we hesitate to share how great our stay was because Whitefish has become our best kept secret.

Wow! 5 Stars are not enough!!

What an amazing property! We have been using VRBO for years and this is the absolute Best place. House was spectacular and stocked with so much more than any other house we have rented. We were a family of 9 (kids aged 8, 6 and 3 months old) and the way the house is was perfect for everyone to have their own little area. What a great idea it was to take one of the garages and turn it into a ski room complete with heated boot and glove lockers (was a good idea too so everyone kept their shoes out of the house). It was a short ride to the mountain (we did not use the neighborhood chairlift as the kids were new to skiing) but hope to in the future. Our last morning we saw 17 beautiful deer come down the mountain and hang out in the yard as if to say goodbye 😊. Sarah and Rob from Stumptown were great and even suggested the best place for snowmobiling. Will definitely be back!

The house is magnificent. Beautiful view. Room and privacy for all. Not a true ski in ski out but easy access to mountain by car. There is a path to lift that’s fairly easy. Path home from mountain is a little difficult to use. Hot tube water was changed out at our request. Management was very accommodating. Would absolutely stay there again.
