Holiday Inn Basildon by IHG
Very clean and tidy room. Bed for me was ideal, medium/firm and very comfortable with nice pillows. Friendly reception staff, cleaners said hello when passing. Breakfast was lovely but it wasn't hot, barely like warm which was the only negative thing during our stay.

Holiday Inn Southend by IHG
The bed mattress was very hard, did not sleep very well. Heating was hit and miss. Staff were fantastic, helpful polite, could not do enough to make things easier.

Hempstead House Hotel
We had the loveliest stay in this hotel, the staff were so welcoming and the spa was amazing! Also would highly recommend booking into the Lakes Restaurant during your stay, great food for a really good value and our server (Faith I think her name was) was fabulous! We would definitely be back ...
