I don’t think this is a 4-star establishment. The room had a bad smell when we first got there, and the stairwell smelled humid. Could use some minor maintenance like repainting and keeping amenities clean looking. Thankfully, the bathrooms were clean and, modern, bed was comfortable, and AC workers which is most important!

Good location and helpful frontdesk

The location of the hotel is within walking distance of Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. Hotel breakfast is amazing and well worth it when bundled with room. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. There is no onsite parking so check ahead with the hotel for recommendations for nearby paid parking.

The place is conveniently located, close to food, supermarkets and to the main road where you can catch the bus or go to open malls with activities. The entire staff was great and willing to help me out on anything.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The place was impeccably clean, which made me feel very comfortable throughout my visit. The location is fantastic — close to all the main attractions and easy to get around from there. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. This is NOT a 4 star hotel. Maybe a 3. Old and frumpy interior, very small rooms, tiny elevator that still requires climbing steep stairs, persistent bad smell in room, no hot water one day. Would not return.

This is a small, unique hotel in the Museum District of Amsterdam. It has five floors and a tiny elevator. The hotel comprises two different buildings which are not on the same level so when you go up you must go down again if your room is in the second building. The stairs have extremely small footspace and are covered in a geometric pattern of bright colors. We found the stairs very awkward and difficult. The room we stayed in was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was brand new with a good shower. They do not have washcloths, so bring your own. The best thing about the hotel was the breakfast. They put out quite a nice spread with eggs, bacon, croissants, fresh fruit , yogurt, Cold cuts and excellent whole grain bread. They also have a great espresso machine. Overall it’s a really good place if you can do the stairs!
