The room was located in the other area of the hotel. It was dreary and not special. Tiny twin beds seemed odd. They looked like cots. At night, we could smell this horrible scent (the smell of a sewer). The fitness center looks nice but the equipment needs updating. The pool was lovely.

Pro: it’s sort of clean. Probably good for a group of friends there to smoke weed, visit the sex museum or something tacky. Cons: not for couples - avoid. Feels like a cheap hotel. Massively overpriced. Rooms are super small (the bedsheets has a strange chemical smell too), ours had the view of a wall and someone else’s window so didn’t feel private. We tried to ignore the rudeness of the staff at check-out but then she forced us to pay the city tax twice incorrectly, lying and ignoring the previous charge we shown on our banking phone app (always get a receipt). A bottle of water at the bar costs €7, which you might need as there’s no water in the room and the minibar is left empty. Oh, they charge you to borrow their umbrellas, another tacky move as confirmation of the low standard they offer to their customers. Never again. Will do our best to avoid park plaza in other locations too.

The staff here has been wonderful. Our room was a nice size and the spa and pool area is lovely. But, the best thing was the service. At every level we found willing helpers from concierge to reception to housekeeping to the breakfast reception. We felt at home right away.

Fantastic hotel. Beautifully decorated, perfectly located to local attractions & very friendly staff. Only reason I’m doing 4 stars instead of 5 is the beds. We had to switch rooms bc the king was so uncomfortable & the next rooms bed was barely better. Highly suggest getting a room with the large soaking tub.
