We didn't feel the area was that safe and i would even say this for downtown Anchorage. There were many homeless people and it was very sad. Some seemed agitated.

The staff was really on the ball, noticing when I drove into the parking lot and welcoming me before I had even walked in the door. I noticed twice that they left the desk and cleaned the restroom immediately after someone had used it. Things were quiet at night. The very roomy bathrooms down the hall had nice, hot showers with great water pressure. The kitchen was large and well-equipped, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a 3/4 size fridge in my room, along with plenty of storage shelves and a closet. The neighborhood is not the best, but I didn’t have any trouble, even coming back late at night from line-dancing at the Pink Cadillac. Nobody approached me or talked to me in the parking lot. One thing I did not like is that the windows did not lock. It made me a bit nervous although my window was fairly high up. Prices were quite reasonable compared to other offerings in Anchorage, and it was a very convenient location, with a car.

Close to Downtown Anchorage but no A/C in Rooms.

Positives: Very clean bathrooms every day! Nice and helpful lobby staff; Within walking distance of most downtown attractions and restaurants. Negatives: No A/C and hardly any air movement in the room. May be ok in the winter, but made sleeping very difficult in the summer: recommend you install ceiling fans in every room and install window screens to keep out the bugs when you open the windows (the small fan provided was not enough!). Also very noisy because it is right beside a busy highway.

We stayed at the Ingra House twice as we passed through Anchorage on our Alaska trip. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly both times. Accommodations are very clean, as are the shared bathrooms. On our second stay, the bathroom I used to shower was missing a shower mat; not a big deal, just needed to be extra careful stepping out of the shower stall. My one suggestion would be allowing morning access to the kitchen, so those with early flights out would be able to make coffee before departure.

Cancelled flight leads to a new discovery

This is a lower cost hotel with a shared bath and you can’t change that. It is very good at what it does though. The room and bathroom were clean. Security was taken seriously. The staff was helpful, friendly. I was grateful to have a room and it exceeded my expectations. In the summer, Anchorage runs out of hotel rooms and rental cars.

First I would like to say Max the GM is a super cool dude made the stay well worth it I will be coming back just because of his hospitality and staff we chilled and BS even after I checked out they are straight forward this is not a traditional hotel it does have shared bathroom but they provide an affordable clean place for travelers passing through Anchorage everything was clean if your a versed traveler you understand the shared bathroom it’s very common internationally the only complaint it is noisey due to it’s proximity to the road just bring headphones or ear plugs don’t let this deter your stay it is close to downtown so if your into that or just passing through tell Max Dustin said What’s Up and I’ll check y’all out next year
