Great for what I want regarding location and ease of access to city. Room smelled of stale smoke and reported to cleaner and she wasn’t interested and told to go to reception. A spray would have helped but as we stayed two nights we endured it.

The property was in an area that did not appear safe but was safe and walkable to various shops and restaurants and a shopping mall. It was not too far from the hop on and hop off bus. (one stop from La Sagrada Familia). The staff was helpful and freindly. I did not like that there were no irons in the rooms. I was in Barcelona for a cruise and wanted to iron some clothes before getting on the ship where irons were not allowed.They did have a steamer, but it did not work that great. I also did not like the fact that we were charged 20 euros to check into our room early as we had an early arrival flight. I have never been anywhere that charged a fee for that. If the room is ready than what am I paying for? It is not like we asked them to clean a room for us early. We paid the fee because after a 9-hour flight we were ready to rest. I was traveling with a number of people who were staying at various other hotels in Barcelona. None of them were charged a fee. On the back end of my cruise, I stayed in a hotel near the airport. The room was ready when we arrived (5 hours earlier than the checkin time) and I was not charged a fee. In my entire years of living, I have never been charged a fee for early check-in.

Property was in a good location and close to the beach and shopping. Breakfast was good. Only complaint was our airconditioning was not cold enough in our room. The weather was very hot and having our aircon of full was still warm in our room.

the bathroom door didn’t stay shut or lock, the toilet seat was completely detached from the actual toilet, and the area around the hotel smelled kind of bad
